We use Tibco business works for managing file transfers within and outside the organization as well as performing business transformation. Business works is being used across the organization as well as connectivity outside the organization. It solves the business data transfer problem by transferring data in a fast and secure manner.
- Data transfer and data flow is very well done in Tibco Business works
- Data from different sources such as ftp sftp tcp can be very well transferred
- Business users can use the process designed by Business works very well.
- Multiple products which is used with Business works can be either reduced or integrated into a sing product.
- User experience can be better
- Product can be lighter
- Return on investment is great in scenarios where data is huge and data transfer should be fast and confidential.
- Using multiple sub products with BW becomes a irritation and troublesome which will cause negative impact.
- Stable product with stable data encryption methods causes a positive impact causing a sense positive impact.
Tibco Business Works provides better visual creation while designing integration flows than some of the products in the market. Also Tibco Business works provides an opportunity for integration developers to focus on business flow rather than technical aspects by providing all the required pallets and connections in a ordered manner. This helps us to deliver the product faster and efficiently.
Tibco Business works provides more efficient seamless integration flows and configuration structure as compared to other products in the market. THE FTP, SFTP and Other file transfer interfaces are very easy to configure as per the business requirements. Also the tool provides various customization parameters which vary based on business needs of a company.
This is one area i feel Tibco BW needs to improve upon. Although the TIBCO BW provides testing window in the designer, more features and options might need to be provided for unit testing and integration testing purpose. The present tools are very clumsy to test for a developer unless he is very accustomed to it.
Tibco business works is a easy and relatively cost effective tool compared to products like Oracle and Microsoft. Although these products cost more, they also provide features which might not be suitable for medium to large customers. hence Tibco is selected based on its technical capabilities like MFT CC and BW .
