After the initial effort to create custom connectors for our applications (which was large), the ability to create integrations now using these connectors and the provided connectors is very simple and depending on the scenario we have integrations setup, tested and live with significantly less effort than doing this without a platform

TIBCO Good SW easy to use

Yes for sure Tibco visual mode is very useful and speed up every integration develop.
Comparing it with other technologies it is much better and easy to use.

The only problem is that sometimes, to avoid some bugs or some features that are not implemented yet, we should use java or other sw as workaround. Instead it could be better to have the possibilities of customize the sw under tibco itself.

I have not used any other integration platforms, so I cannot speak to the comparison of this to others. I can say that I am able to whip up an application in a fraction of the time than I can when developing in code.

The drag-and-drop graphical development environment saves us time and resources. It is more efficient not only for the development, but also to fix bugs that were developed years ago. This feature does not make you lose lines and lines of code. Business Process Design helps you to understand and remember how a process is working. With activities added to the process you can access data from an adapter service, manipulate the data, and send the data elsewhere. Examples include sending email, querying a database, or adding content to a file.

This tool is very easy to learn, Even a junior can start working with minimum technical expertise. With version 6.*, integrated in a customized eclipse, is very simple create WS and also complex processes with drag and drop of activity and resource.

Time to market is very quick and one of the fastest when compared to other integration technologies. Zero coding approach, drag and drop approach for creating workflows, testing and debugging capabilities in IDE, high availability and fault tolerance deployment capability for applications, horizontal and vertical scaling capability, high runtime performance over very long periods makes it the best Integration framework.

This software is one of the fastest development and deployment to support Agile and DevOps approach. Therefore, the time-to-market is not an issue here. Especially with the support from TIBCO services that available 24 x 5 for any trouble ticket or escalation issues. This is one of the key drivers to maintain customer satisfaction.

If I had to rate the level of efficiency BusinessWorks has provided on a scale of 1-10, I'd give it an 8. It has really made the workflow of getting an application from concept to implementation a breeze. The missing points are due to how cumbersome it is to fill-in certain input fields. A paste/import option in these cases would be ideal.

Visual creation or visual programming in Business Works has definitely made the implementation process at least 2-3 times faster compared to a text-based programming tool. Most integration technologies that we use have some element of visual programming to increase our efficiency and output and Business Works definitely falls into that category.

The level of efficiency provided by TIBCO BusinessWorks is really second to none. The integration process is faster / more efficient than other integration technologies such as Oracle Fusion Middleware or SAP XI or WebMethods or IBM MQ or Microsoft Biztalk. Now there are some new leaders available like Dell Boomi, Mulesoft, Pega. Only time will tell how good those technologies are when you compare with a very stable product like TIBCO BW.

I think it's faster, once you learn and understand the application. There are some simple solutions that was faster for me to write code, because I understand C# better than I understood TIBCO.

Yes the process is faster and easy to learn. The first time when I learnt BusinessWorks I was a fresher and learnt all by my own and by using my own POC. This proves how efficient it was back then and even now.

This is one of the major values BusinessWorks adds to the enterprise. Building a solution with BusinessWorks is faster than any other tool I know of. The graphical design and development IDE makes development easier and the code is very easy to maintain.

I don’t have experience in other integration technologies outside of doing the code in C++, Java, and python. Business works is definitely faster to get something up and running all it takes is dragging and dropping a few activities, and then dragging and dropping how the data fields should be mapped between activities.

The big advantage of BW5 is the icon based designer. Essentially, TIBCO has done all the very difficult and very easy stuff for you. What's left is designing the business process logic and interface settings. The mapping tool is also very powerful. For example, it's relatively easy to map fields from an SAP idoc to a totally different format, like a set of database tables of different ERP. You can even use Xpath for more complex logic. As far as efficiency and speed goes, BW5 is the best system I've seen, and I can't actually think of any way to improve it significantly.

BW6 offers essentially the same business process design and data mapping/translation abilities. The issue is that BW6 is built on Eclipse and had a lot of bugs still. So development on BW6 designer can be unpredictable with regard to time and efficiency. I would rather it not be part of our tool set, actually. It's proven more of a liability that has made our team look bad several times now.
