Overall Satisfaction with Cision Communications Cloud

We currently use Cision Communications Cloud (TrendKite)* in the Marketing and Public Relations department. We use it to track media mentions, sentiment, social media, presence in the market. It is used only in our department but for the whole organization. It allows us to track all of the mentioned in a fast and efficient manner. It also allows us to show board members and city officials our successes easily.

*This review was written before Cision acquired TrendKite. TrendKite is now part of Cision Communications Cloud.
  • Media mentions have been extremely helpful for us and when the story isn't available for us to see, Cision staff are fast to assist us in finding it.
  • Tracking sentiment is crucial in our line of work. Being able to easily see how we are rated is great so that we can quickly address anything negative if necessary.
  • Allowing us to see how we compare to others in the market is valuable. It helps us to determine if we need to change strategy at any given time to address any issues.
  • It would be great if you could click on the daily reports so that you could see the story or news cast without having to log in to Cision. That is one thing that TVEyes and Meltwater did that made it easy for me to see things quickly and easily since I'm usually very busy and on the move.
We have used Meltwater and TVEyes. We had to pay for both of those services separately and we had to use them separately. Cision allows you to have all the info you need in one place. Also, Meltwater was providing basic info of media and internet mentions. We love that Cision provides the comparison, share of voice and sentiment which are all very important to us.
I think everyone in the marketing/PR business should be using something like Cision. It's a way to stay on top of how your brand is being perceived and to track when you are in the media. It allows you to address issues and change strategy if necessary. We also use it to track how our events are doing and most importantly, we use it to show sponsors how we are doing in regards to visibility of our brand and theirs in conjunction with ours.

Using Cision Communications Cloud

It gives us a lot of information in a very easy manner. The dashboards lay out the info so that you can see it quickly and easily but allows you to look closer if needed. The customer service is also outstanding. If we ever have an issues or don't know how to do something, Cision staff is always there to help. They are quick and courteous!
