Overall Satisfaction with Cision Communications Cloud

Cision Communications Cloud (TrendKite)* is used by the Corporate Communications department. We use it to measure the earned media reach of the company on specific initiatives and campaigns, as well as monthly reporting.

*This review was written before Cision acquired TrendKite. TrendKite is now part of Cision Communications Cloud.
  • Comparative analysis between similar topics
  • Setting up dashboards quickly
  • Good user interface
  • Often pulls in some irrelevant content due to the crawlers searching everything on the page, not just the content of the actual article
  • Can be slow to load when dashboards get bigger
  • Sometimes hard to toggle back and forth between widgets and overall dashboard
  • Would like for the Reports section to have better presentation. I actually prefer showing leaders the dashboard graphs themselves

Cision Communication Cloud (TrendKite)* has easier user interface, is quicker to set up dashboards, and is better for comparative purposes between competitors on coverage. Cision Communication Cloud is worse due to pulling in more irrelevant coverage, and its support staff/help features.
It's appropriate for quick analyses.

Transition from TrendKite to Cision Communications Cloud

Chat feature is somewhat helpful, but getting a new person every time often means re-explaining a lot of the same issues/needs about my business problems.
