Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

TriNet is being used across the whole organization. We manage most HR functions (payroll, time off, benefits, etc.) via TriNet.

Pros

  • Payroll.
  • Entering new hires.
  • Day-to-day support.

Cons

  • Access to benefits information during the off-season. Employees often want to view plan comparisons, but don't have access to them outside of open enrollment season.
  • Information on various terminology like job codes, leave codes, legal classifications, etc. Some sort of dictionary/glossary would be helpful.
  • Bugs with vacation accrual. There have been several times where accrual dashboards are inaccurate for employees.
As mentioned in a previous response, my experience with TriNet has varied depending on the representative(s) assigned to me. In the past, I've had representatives who were not as responsive, helpful, and attentive. However, since my organization has grown in size, we've been assigned new representatives who have both been incredibly helpful, responsive, attentive, and knowledgeable. They are thorough and dedicated to helping me resolve any issue I'm facing in the platform, and any other HR issues that are difficult/ambiguous to navigate.
For the most part, the platform is intuitive and easy to use. However, there are definitely occasional bugs in the system, which has resulted in parts of the website/platform being down/not loading. One particular piece I'd like to flag is that department managers don't have as much visibility in the platform as they perhaps should.
  • Improved accuracy and ease of implementing payroll.
  • Reduced time spent on administrative HR tasks.
  • Improved accuracy, ease, and tracking of various HR items such as leave, benefits, etc.
TriNet is great for basic HR management. My experience with TriNet has varied depending on the representative assigned to me. I've had representatives in the past who were not very responsive or knowledgeable, but I now work with representatives who are extremely responsive and knowledgeable, which has made my and my organization's experience with TriNet much more enjoyable and helpful.
