Overall Satisfaction with Viewpoint Vista

Day to Day Operation, Difficult User Interface for project teams, which contributes to the slow learning curve with Vista. Scope is company wide.
  • It works most of the time.
  • Better UI
  • Better Help Tools
  • More Tips and Tricks webinars
  • Optimization for project field staff
  • We would have increased efficiency if the field tools weren't behind a paywall
For it being a construction software, it's not geared for ease of access for the construction field.
There the same to varying degrees, hiding every useful tool behind an additional paywall.

Do you think Viewpoint Vista delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Viewpoint Vista's feature set?

No

Did Viewpoint Vista live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Viewpoint Vista go as expected?

No

Would you buy Viewpoint Vista again?

No

Great for office personnel, Field personnel say that Vista is almost unusable in the job trailer due to slow internet speeds in rural job site areas.

Using Viewpoint Vista

All Functions
  • Accounting
  • Productivity
  • Equipment
  • Hopefully all the additional software tools
Because we have everything invested in Vista, there isn't really any other choice.

Evaluating Viewpoint Vista and Competitors

Yes - Procore, not sure wasn't with the company when it happened.
I would change the entire evaluation process

Viewpoint Vista Implementation

I believe all the co-workers who got the implementation training weren't the end users.
  • Implemented in-house
  • Third-party professional services
Consultant I'm assuming, we still use him to this day.

Viewpoint Vista Support

The few times we've had to use VP support, they were terribly slow to respond and didn't seem to understand the product any better than some of our staff.
ProsCons
Kept well informed
Slow Resolution
Poor followup
Less knowledgeable
Problems left unsolved
Difficult to get immediate help
Need to explain problems multiple times
Slow Initial Response
Yes - No, and No...
I cant describe a time when Viewpoint, a Trimble company provided me with any exceptional support, mediocre or exceptionally poor support maybe.

Using Viewpoint Vista

In my opinion, UI is terrible and unintuitive.
ProsCons
Easy to use
Technical support not required
Feel confident using
Unnecessarily complex
Not well integrated
Inconsistent
Slow to learn
Cumbersome
Lots to learn
