Overall Satisfaction with Viewpoint Vista
Fully utilized in Accounting, Equipment Management, Job Costing, Human Resources, Purchasing, T&M Billing, and partially utilized for Project Management. We use most of the available modules.
- T&M Invoicing flexibility
- Payroll processing strong & flexible
- Ability to customize fields, forms, reports
- Trust of the company management has deteriorated over the years. Hoping the that Trimble buyout will improve, but it is yet to be seen.
- Support has been much worse than early years. Releases have had more issues than 5-10 years ago.
- Many of the key personnel that "owned" the product previously are gone.
- Rapidly increasing pricing of support / software assurance every year; Motivation seems to have switched from offering a best quality product to a money-making machine with the buyout of competitors
- Access to Job Costing Information
- Robust payroll capabilities
Our staff is fairly advanced and can access information using our own built tools.
Many programs have changed since we evaluated others.

Yes - We've reported many, many bugs. Takes quite a long time to resolve.
Early on (2003-2010), nearly every technician was wonderful and went above and beyond to take care of any issues. The software was their baby. Then the buyout of the company happened and everything changed. Before that, I had nothing but praise for the team.
