Overall Satisfaction with Workfront
We use Workfront as our source of truth for project analysis and tracking. At a moments notice, I am able to find detailed information about any project, whether we are currently working on it or have already completed it. Our team members are able to access the system remotely and update the projects pretty seamlessly. I am able to generate a dashboard for all the reports I pull frequently. I can customize each report to fit my needs. There is even an option to have it automatically email me the report in either PDF or Excel formats. If there are any issues, there are two options. One is the typical online support, the other is the community support. Both are really good tools.
- The remote access is very handy
- The search tool is quite strong
- Ease to edit project information
- Unable to pull reports from custom forms or scorecards
- Admin unable to delete or edit a person's comments (easily)
- Under reports, unable to easily (or at all) choose certain fields
- Needs better interface to maintain document storage *system wide*
- Before Workfront, we had multiple PMs tracking projects only locally, and not posting their statuses on a global scale.
- Before Workfront, the team had to log into our VPN in order to update a project, which caused a multitude of problems.
- Before Workfront, we didn't have one source of truth, rather, we had multiple locations to look for project updates.
Workfront is stronger than the competitors. Even though this is a subscription cost, the price is reasonable compared to other companies. The ease of accessibility is a great advantage. I do believe there is a trial to see if Workfront is right for you. I would recommend trying Workfront out for yourself.
