Overall Satisfaction with Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management (UEM
Our search started with the need for a system to manage our mobile devices (security)policy wise.When we were researching solutions and their possibilities the search broadend to other features and a UEM solution instead of MDM. We decided to go with a solution that tightly integrates with our current IT suppliers and decided between Microsoft and VMWare. We mainly chose Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management because it had matured more as the Microsoft solutions at that time and was managable through one Pane of Glass. We used it to restrict our mobile devices with policies, deploy some standard app store apps and content locker to access internal fileservers.

- The portal is not really easy to use
- The combination with other VMWare solutions is not simple

- Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management provided us with opportunities to work beyond the limits of our internal network.
- Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management didn't come cheap. Not everybody was allowed to use it.
- Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management made us pass security audits on mobile devices.
- Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Microsoft Intune + SCCM)
At the time (2017) the Microsoft solution wasn't fully cloud-native and you needed several tools to accomplish the same as Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management. This would have led to even more issues getting up and running as we had with Workspace ONE. Last year we made switched to Microsoft Endpoint Manager cause it presented an easier interface and was better suited to go with our business direction of Microsoft 365.
