Overall Satisfaction with Zenefits

Zenefits is being used by us for payroll, benefits administration, time off, and a whole host of other areas. It is being used across the whole organization to manage things like PTO submissions, paystub viewing, corporate policies, etc. It's heavily used by HR in particular for customizing the onboarding process, hiring/firing, tracking performance improvement plans, and managing recruiting. It also addresses the issue of having to switch benefits providers when one becomes a problem from a cost or benefits perspective, though you do have to work with an outside broker in this process, too.

Zenefits had a more complete product offering than the competitors. We previously used 2 different PEOs - TriNet and Insperity. Both were great for a smaller organization but were more expensive and came with less complete/flexible features. We switched to Zenefits around the time we hit 60 employees and haven't looked back.
It's just very intuitive. It's easy for a layperson without a lot of experience using software to pick it up and find what they're looking for. The menus are simple to navigate, and it's not difficult to find what you want quickly and get the information and/or make the changes you need within the system. The app is also very user friendly, though it lacks admin capability.
They always get back to you quickly, so I have no complaints. You will have to interface with an outsourced (3rd party) benefits company for most of your needs, and Zenefits provides little support around that except insofar as helping you identify a low cost vendor for whatever benefits you're attempting to purchase.

It's particularly great for benefits admin and managing time off, hiring/onboarding, PTO tracking, provision of an employee directory & org chart, mobile app usability, all benefits admin (401(k), FSA, Life insurance, Health insurance, dental, vision), ACA compliance, COBRA, etc.

Using Zenefits

75 - Everyone uses Zenefits within our organization, albeit to varying degrees. Employees use it for things like PTO tracking, tax withholding, 401(k) administration, onboarding documents, offboarding documents, FSA administration, and tracking time off within the system. It also has a great directory for employees as well as an org chart for understanding the company.
3 - We only use the IT person in conjunction with the HR Director and person overseeing the HR function for the vast majority of support issues through Zenefits. As I've mentioned before, most of the admin/support required for the software is pretty minimal. Doing the math behind each choice you make is also supported by the CFO.

We've already renewed after our first year with Zenefits due to the cost savings, ease of administration, reduction in overhead required to perform HR functions, and the employees happily embracing and liking the software. I've found employees generally hate anything new, but we've had no complaints about Zenefits outside the first few weeks of getting used to it.
