Overall Satisfaction with Ziflow

To my knowledge, Ziflow is currently only used by our marketing department. As a project manager, Ziflow is the final stage. The latest design is proofed through a series of Ziflow stages, with each stage having different stakeholders reviewing the project. Before Ziflow, I was emailing a PDF to a group of people and receiving fragmented feedback from all involved. Some would reply via email, some would leave PDF comments, and others would provide feedback via Slack. It was on me to gather all that feedback and put it in ONE message to our designer. With Ziflow, no manual intervention is needed from me and I've saved a ton of time.

  • Archived projects provide a written approval record for future reference.
  • Automated notifications allow the project to move forward without intervention.
  • Markup tools provide visual feedback versus just written feedback.
  • HTML proofing was difficult for some our team members. We tried using Ziflow to proof our marketing emails, but it became too troublesome with the screen resizing.
  • Sometimes, team members do not realize a PDF project has multi-page pages. Perhaps a larger callout instead of the small page numbers at the bottom would help.
  • Saves project managers and reviewers lots of time.
  • Feedback no longer gets lost in a sea of emails.

Zilfow is the only proofing software I've used in my marketing career. I've never been involved in the selection process, so I'm not sure how it stacks up against competition.
For me, Ziflow is perfect for proofing still images and PDFs. The markup tools allow for clear, visual feedback, which eliminates the confusion that can come from text-only feedback.

For HTML projects like a marketing email, Ziflow was harder for us to use because of the various screen sizes. Some team members would draw boxes on certain sections of the email, but that box would show up in a different spot on someone else's computer with a different screen size. Unfortunately, because of this inconsistency, we stop proofing emails in Ziflow.
