We work with clients from various fields and have not yet encountered cases where Acumatica is not suitable. It can be customized for any business. Some business-process a harder for customization but basically, everything is solvable.

SAP S/4HANA

SAP S/4 HANA is well suited to LARGE enterprise-scale businesses where the volume of transactional data is high. This is important because as I understand, this system shines when dealing with large data sets, especially when importing things through LMSW and the like. As for alternatives, there are none really as your company really should not be implementing old ERP at this point. If you want the bells and whistles of having a mobile-friendly front end, quick dev tools, and the new built-in applications, please jump into S/4HANA.

  • Email integration: Horribly clunky, requires users to share email password with Acumatica to allow use of outbound emails. Should be using a more secure method like access tokens.
  • Expense approval process: Once expense claims are approved, approvers (depending on role) can no longer see the approved/denied claims. Denial of claims requires a manual email/call to submitter instructing them to correct and resubmit the claim.
  • CRM: Allow for tracking of cases by the opportunity in addition to business accounts. This would allow for more accurate tracking of issues related to specific opportunities.

  • Integration to Ariba has been very difficult for our organization. CIG as an integration tool is new and has a number of errors. This is not so much a S/4HANA issue, but to the customer, it appears as if S/4HANA is not a good product

It is easy to migrate between different screens within the S/4 system, which makes it easier to manage dependencies, tasks and resolve errors. Also the reporting in S/4 Hana is more reconcilable than any other software. The ease to check the accounts receivable and payable for orders has helped me a lot.

The support system of SAP is very good. Whenever we are logging any request, a quick support we are getting. Especially the support portal is very user friendly and easy to use. As of now I have not received any kind of complaint or negative feedback from my team regarding the support they are getting from SAP support team.

Acumatica trumps over QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions in many ways. First, Acumatica being in the cloud has given us agility in accessing the platform anywhere and anytime. Second, the dashboard creation feature of Acumatica has given us the ability to customize each dashboard of each of our employees. Lastly, the CRM solution of Acumatica enables us to track, manage, and monitor our sales team.

Small scale companies where implementation of SAP S/4HANA is not in the budget can use alternate software like Tally, MS Excel to keep track of their business but then there are chances of human error and it will be difficult and lengthy process to identify the user's mistake.

  • Infrastructure cost increase. The fact of implementing HANA DB increases the cost of the infrastructure by a significant amount.
  • Reduced user time due to a more usable and friendly interface (Fiori). Users don't need to navigate several screens to find or complete information.
  • Also, due to HANA DB improved performance, users can get reports quickly so they improve their productivity by being able to respond more quickly to the business.
