BillQuick is great for basic project related items. When it comes to basic day to day data entry, BillQuick is easy to use and very user friendly but the more detailed and specific you get the harder time it has. Their accounting module is still lacking and needs to be further developed. The financial reports are a bit messy and we have had to spend time cleaning it up and getting it to function the way the CPA and IRS needs them. Currently the AR report does not match the Balance Sheet. I have been asking for a few years now to get an AR report that matches (as it should and is required by the CPA and the bank) yet they have not created one that does

  • Globally used by my organization and it covers all the travel-related and non-travel-related expense reimbursements to the employees and payments to the corporate card company.

  • The analytics are not to user friendly. The ad-hoc reporting is very complicated, as the headers do not clearly indicate what you are going to get in the report.
  • It would be nice is when you hovered over the "add expense" (plus with a circle) button, it told you what it does. End users have a hard time finding the e-wallet in their report when it doesn't automatically open.

Chrome River is easy to use. We needed little training for our users and instead pointed them to Chrome River's Help Guides which are clearly written and easy to understand. With tools SNAP and the ability to email receipts means we can be completely remote when submitting reports.

We have had those that can't believe the ease of use and excellent user interface, many required little to no training. Others required more support, but most likely require a lot of systems support. The mobile app looks exactly the same as the desktop app, therefore the navigation is the same. This is a huge plus for adoption and change management.

I think support could be better, before Emburse took over we were able to use the dashboard to help with issues, which has been down for months now. We had a point person who would help up with issues and now we just get whoever. Also, when we need help for something it seems like we are being sold something instead of being helped. Every change now costs money even if it is an issue with the software which I don't feel should be a charge to the client.

Before implementation begins, make sure you have a plan on how you would like your workflow and platform setup for a system like Chrome River. It will speed the process and eliminate the need to make changes when you go live.

We were previously using NetSuite OpenAir. It felt like it was still in a beta stage without a user friendly interface. Although possible, it was more difficult to manipulate the data from that system in order to get the reporting that we wanted. In addition support was not as responsive or great as Billquick was.

We were an existing Concur customer looking to expand our current implementation. We made the choice to evaluate other platforms and pricing prior to committing to such a large endeavor. When comparing Chrome River to Concur, everything about Chrome River was superior: customer service, multiple pricing models, a modern user experience and interface, ease of administration, configuration options, etc. The implementation for our entire company, globally (4K+ employees in 26 countries), took less than 8 months from the day we signed the contract.
