Likelihood to Recommend This is a VPN for a technical user. It's not the easiest VPN to use and, while very secure, the quirks and issues it has will frustrate your standard users. It's a great backup and secondary VPN option for me as a technical user, but I think for the average user I would recommend something a bit more friendly. For all you IT folks out there or more tech-savvy people, I would definitely recommend checking it out though!
Read full review If your organization has a full-time IT department or support staff, SonicWall VPN Clients might be a good fit. Configuration can be challenging if you're a small business office manager who HAPPENS to take care of IT (as in my case). Still, once the SonicWall VPN Clients is configured, it works pretty well and at minimal ongoing cost. We opted for extended support from the manufacturer just in case we run into issues that we can't address internally.
Read full review Pros The speed you get is actually really good. I have connected it to multiple locations and very rarely had issues with slow speed. There are multiple servers across different locations. So you always have a lot of choices. Simple to use. The UI is really clean and easy to navigate. Works almost with a single click. You also get access to the mobile version which works really nicely as well. Good support. They were really helpful and responded quickly when I contacted them. Read full review Connections could be more stable Difficult to use for tech-challenged end-users Read full review Support Rating Phone support has been very reliable and useful, but there have been times when better support documentation would have made that call unnecessary. I like to tackle problems internally if I can, as it tends to save time and usually money. The SonicWall VPN Clients system seems to be pretty locked down as far as being accessible to self-manage.
Read full review Alternatives Considered I tried a few alternatives (Cyberghost, Private Internet access etc) before settling on this. Of all the different options I looked into this one performed most reliably for me. It was also the fastest of the different options I tested. It was also backed up by good reviews online and solid support team. It is a little pricier than some competitors but I feel I get good value out of it.

Norton VPN, but since it wasn't available from our preferred vendor, we ended up going with SonicWall VPN Clients by default.
Read full review Return on Investment A single leak of data or hack easily makes this worth it. Its low cost makes ROI and justifiability easy. Read full review ROI is difficult to determine because of the minimal initial cost; that said, now that we've experienced the benefits of having secure VPN access, we couldn't imagine not having it. Users have much greater flexibility now that specific legacy systems are accessible from places other than the office. Read full review ScreenShots
