Likelihood to Recommend This tool enables the visual management needed in many offshore teams to easily and quickly see the pending work, work in progress and completed work. For teams that work with a waterfall methodology and do not have AGILE internalized, I believe there are other solutions from Planview or other providers.
Read full review Plutio is great for the individual who is constantly on the go, managing a wealth of online information and projects. I can see those who work in education, such as administration, or technology coaches/teacher coaches using a platform like this to stay organized. Freelance or consultants would also benefit as it can manage your digital self.
Read full review Pros Ability to color code cards based on type, giving better visibility to the variety of tasks a team handles Ability to set deadline dates and have those dates easily visible Flexibility in design the kanban board. It is easy to add a lane or make a change on the fly. Work doesn't have to stop and a long process created to make simple layout changes. Movement of cards is easy as well as the ability to connect cards to show dependencies. Read full review Task management is excellent. It can be broken down into so many levels and makes it easy to keep track of what needs to be done. The ability to customize your method of using it is key. Setting it up to both look and work in a way that fits your company and employees is very important and Plutio does this very well. Read full review Cons Planview LeanKit currently can't or should not be used as a central spot for data and collaboration. Particularly attachments are not well-handled. The portable side of Planview LeanKit is really lacking. We would appreciate some options to group or stack cards. Read full review The design of the invoices, when I used it, was not as sleek as I would have wanted it to be. There wasn't a proper template that I could use. Similar to the design of the invoice, there wasn't a proper email template I could use. The app itself didn't seem to be very secure, when I used it, it seemed to be buggy/clunky in some areas, not updating properly, etc. When I used this, there wasn't a professional-looking contract, and there was no auto sending of the contract once an action was taken by a client, such as payment. It didn't make for a smooth enough workflow for me. Read full review Likelihood to Renew Perfect tool to manage requirement backlog
Read full review Usability LeanKit isn't the best designed Kanban system I've seen, but overall it's pretty usable. The boards I've used are pretty complex, so it can be difficult to find things. I found that searching and filtering for specific cards was somewhat of a challenge. Dragging a card from one lane to another is kind of a fun way to get things done though.

Read full review I have only needed to reach out for support once and got a quick response. There was an issue with the Mac app, but I knew it was in beta. Leo, the owner, was quick to reply thanking me for letting him know about the issue, that the Mac app is still in beta, and that I can use the web version in the meantime until the bug was fixed.

Read full review Alternatives Considered I think that LeanKit is very similar to
Asana 's Kanban feature and
Trello , but is much less sleek looking than
Asana .
Asana 's clean and sleek UI makes me enjoy project management much more than LeanKit. It might sound silly that the UI makes so much of a difference to me, but it really does.
Trello is also sleeker than LeanKit, but I still prefer
Asana because it has more customization options and a better interface. We are actually going to look into switching to
ClickUp because we wanted something with a better UI.
ClickUp seems to have a great UI with a lot of customization options.
Read full review I have tried Suite Dash, Agiled, FlowLu throughout the process of finding a tool that fits our business the best. Plutio was the easiest to deploy and use by far. The other systems had more features and capability but was pretty difficult to learn how to use and set up. We were up and running with Plutio in a matter of hours with a business process, rather than a spreadsheet and an independent proposal and invoicing process.

Read full review Return on Investment Our team meetings are more direct and quick to get through thanks to the better visibility of the workload Easily being able to move cards between team lanes gives instant visibility to where the responsibility for the next step is needed. We have been able to hold each other accountable on tasks we are working on and delegate projects. This has sped up our time in gathering everything we need when meeting or running a show.
