Product Details

What is Adobe Connect?

Adobe Connect is a web conferencing platform that provides standard features like video, audio, screen-sharing, polls, chat, Q&A, and document transfers, as well as the ability for users to create presentations, online training materials, and learning modules.

The product is entirely Adobe Flash-based and has several add-ons for customizing its software to suit each users’ unique needs. Some extensions that are available include, but are not limited to, Closed Captioning support, Word Cloud (for visualizing live discussions), and MP3 player for adding music to users’ meeting rooms.

Users can create or style their own meeting room layouts which can be saved. They can also add multiple chat pods, polls, quizzes, simulations, breakout rooms, HD video, and games to make meetings and online conferencing more interactive. Additionally, Adobe Connect allows for presenters and hosts to utilize a “virtual backstage” to chat and collaborate outside of the main meeting or conference. It also allows for users to go into a “preparation mode” to make adjustments right before or during a session.

Pricing for Adobe Connect Meetings ranges from $50/mo up to $370/mo. Additional webinar capabilities through Adobe Connect Webinar ranges $140/mo to $580/mo, from a webinar with 100 participants to one with up to 1000 participants.

It was generally easy to use from a facilitator's perspective. However, our users struggled with the tech issues that came up upon launching. This included drops from the call, lagging video & inability to join breakouts.

The various capabilities it offers while training: multiple chats, multiple Polls, an engagement pod, customized breakout rooms, ability to see real-time what breakout rooms are typing on whiteboards and note pads

8/10 because there's always a room for Improvement. In Adobe Connect case everything is good except for some glitches so because of that sometimes I would waver to use it or not use it. Other than that its usability is pretty good.

I give this rating because the connectivity issue is way too big of an issue for me. The reception connectivity issue even though I'm hardwired to my internet is constantly dropping to the point where my trainer is constantly cutting out. And I know it's not an internet issue on my end because I have a very high amount of connectivity with my internet provider here in Ontario Canada. I have one of the highest download and upload packages that you can get with my service provider. And I'm able to surf the Internet and use all of the programs connected to our VPN without any issues whatsoever.

Adobe Connect provides an easy-to-understand interface that allows quick access to the many features that it offers. Being familiar with other Adobe products has made using this software an easy transition. If you are familiar with how other Adobe products work you should have no issues learning how to use this product.

We are now applying this application in our facilities because it has features that are extremely valuable for us at work, and it fits the demands that we provide later in communication rationally. In other words, we can emphasize that we use Adobe Connect for a variety of extremely important objectives.

There is adequate documentations from Adobe Connect store, where one can learn any step of running the program. Also, Adobe Connect has a live chat that is working 24/7, and supports users to ask questions that concerns the software. But eventually, the design for Adobe Connect is quite friendly, and every feature is clear set and executable.

The "Pods" are a key component that has aided me in getting people set up because I can exchange information right way, especially with those who never seem to read the reminders to download documents until the meeting. Adobe connect has been quite useful in assisting us in improving communication among our company customers.

I am so happy to launch my campaigns via this platform as it is very easy for me to engage my audience, now I can easily add images and I can also easily customize this application. Moreover, it has provided me a variety of new things for creating the best out of my ideas to grab the customer’s attention, like I can create a quiz, I can ask for a survey, or either I can create a poll.

Adobe is a pretty straightforward and intuitive software to use. It has a low learning curve. In addition, if you have used virtual meeting or webinar platforms in the past, you will have no problem converting over to Adobe. It offers a robust feature set and [is] a great value for the money. I would definitely recommend it for the first time user as well as those who are experienced with virtual platforms.

Bugs. Unstable.

Some audio issue, bugs and latency, advisors can't join the meeting, terrible UI. I am not a great fan of this product. It could be improved. Adobe is a huge Company: they need to test the product and release a bug-free version. I am using a stable Internet connection, but the tool works properly one day and it crashes the next. Unstable.

I gave it an 8 because although it’s a decent product but still it lacks few things. There are so many things that you need to keep in mind to use it. Not too easy to use as compared to others like: Zoom. Bandwidth is a big challenge as other programs can make it lag. Unusual system freeze occurs which makes users restart the meetings.

At the core, it works as an online collaboration platform. API/LTI integration was not very good but as a standalone tool, it will suffice. However, I feel as if there are better platforms available now that are better suited for our needs.

Abode Connect is not as user-friendly as some of the other tools. For one, there's no way to get to Adobe Connect via a regular browser. I have to open the application to access it.
