We use Microsoft 365 across our whole organization. Outlook email & calendar as well as SharePoint are all frequently used by nearly everyone in the organization. Having everyone use Office 365 Calendars is extremely helpful when trying to schedule a group meeting. You can pretty quickly and easily find a common time that works for everyone as long as everyone's calendar is up to date. Everyone is pretty familiar with the Office/Microsoft platform and products within 365.
  • Outlook Email - it automatically filters your email into "Focused" and "Other" based on sender's history and relationship to you within the organization vs. external. I have yet to see an error where an email that should have been in my focused inbox ended up in my "other" inbox. This helps keep email much more manageable. I also like being able to "pin" certain emails to the top of my inbox so they don't get buried. Helps me remember to take action on them and then unpin them.
  • Outlook Calendar - when the whole organization uses it, it makes finding common meetings times easy. It also integrates seamlessly with MS Teams for video chat, which our organization also uses.
  • SharePoint - it's a cloud drive where you can save/share files and work collaboratively. It's easy to save a power point template in SharePoint and invite others on your team to review and/or make changes or additions to it for example.
  • "To-Do" feature in Outlook - I haven't used it much, but I have tried and that's because I haven't found it super useful compared to other productivity apps and tools. I would love for Microsoft to put some effort into making the To-Do feature more functional and collaborative so that our teams could use it instead of outside tools that we then try to make sync with MS 365 Suite. MS 365 does offer "Planner" which is a more robust tool / app. It's not super clear from a user perspective when / why you would use To-Do vs. Planner.
  • Too many apps within Microsoft 365 - I think fewer options can often be better vs. being overwhelmed with too many choices. There are tons of apps within MS 365 and it's not obvious what they all do / why you would use them.
  • Lack of easy Office 365 calendar syncing options with other calendars - like Google calendar. Sometimes you have multiple calendars for different teams or work / personal calendar and you want to see everything in one spot - but MS 365 Calendar doesn't make this easy to do.
A huge number of businesses and organizations use Microsoft 365 as their main platform for email, calendar, productivity tools - it makes sense to at least be familiar with it even if it's not used in your own organization. But I will say I'm happy with Office email and calendar functionality, which is what I use the most within the Microsoft 365 tools. They are pretty user friendly and our whole organization uses them, which makes it easy to communicate and schedule time together for meetings/projects.

I use one or more programs included with Microsoft 365 almost every day. I make extensive use of Outlook for emails, Excel for spreadsheets, and Word for preparing the text of reports. I have a forensic accounting practice and have to frequently prepare memos and or reports. A typical report contains a series of Excel spreadsheets that I call schedules and a text that explains in detail the schedules and my findings regarding certain analyses that I conduct. I can easily convert both the text of a report and the schedules into PDF form directly without scanning, and then add information to the PDF such as consecutive page numbers and paste an actual image of my signature into the PDF. This allows me to complete a report directly from my computer without scanning anything. I have issued reports when I am out of town including foreign countries. All I need is access to the internet. I also use PowerPoint to make certain presentations and often prepare graphs to explain complex findings in court. Having Microsoft 365 facilitates these tasks with ease. For example, sometimes in the text of a report, I describe certain findings and include a copy of a graph directly in the Word file. While I prepare the graph using Excel, I can copy and paste the graph from Excel into Word. It really produces a very professional-looking product. For me, Microsoft 365 is an absolute necessity.
  • Easy to link Excel information into Word.
  • In Excel, linking of cells makes it easy to do analysis that when changed, updates everything.
  • Excel is very powerful. You can use it to sort data and create really professional-looking schedules for reports and presentations.
  • Excel makes creating graphs really easy. Great for explaining financial concepts to individuals with limited financial backgrounds.
  • Excel has some really powerful tools, such as rounding of results of computations, using at if formulas to analyze certain data and the grouping function which can help make a really complex schedule simpler by hiding certain rows and or columns.
  • Many programs that contain databases of information can export reports directly into Excel eliminating the need for data entry.
  • I like the editor function in Word, which helps one create better reports. It picks up errors such as punctuation and makes suggestions for better use of words.
  • I would like to see the editor function that Word has included in Excel.
Microsoft 365 is well suited if one has to prepare memos and or reports. Excel is very useful for analyzing data and creating exhibits that explain and help one manage their business. Outlook is great for keeping your calendar and managing your emails. PowerPoint is great for making professional presentations of various kinds.

Microsoft 365 is being used across our whole company, both locally and by remote users. It allows us to easily deploy to our users and keep applications updated by cloud resources. The cloud share applications are awesome, both through OneDrive and Sharepoint, which enable us to also keep files updated between users but also with individuals local and offsite computers.
  • constantly updated applications
  • accessible files open via web versions of applications
  • monitoring of local and remote user permissions
  • not all their administrative functions seem to have the same interface "feel"; some of their older functions are readily accessible in their new style of interface
I used to think that their cloud management platform wouldn't be well suited to a smaller company like ours, but that is definitely not the case. Very easy to manage and add licensing if needed. The cost might be a little prohibitive for some but not majorly so especially if you can get multi license discounts.

Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)] is being used across our whole organization in every department. It is a cost effective way for everyone to be on the same platform. It has everything we need, email, calendar, and reminders.
  • The email setup is great. Easy to customize.
  • Calendar is great for setting future reminders.
  • Product is universal across every industry.
  • Our previous email setup would flash a message across the screen that an email came in. It might have this feature but I have not found it yet.
The One Drive storage is great bonus on top of everything that comes with Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)]. As previously mentioned, the programs included are universal. Everyone uses Word and Excel so there aren't any issues with being able to open a file from a customer or a vendor. You can customize Outlook in so many ways to your exact specifications. I have not encountered any disadvantages.

[Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)] is being used across our entire organization. This product allows us to develop presentations for board meetings, as well as summarize financial results. Additionally, we use it as a word processor to type offer letters, and additional communications that we disseminate to employees as well as members. The organization also uses the Microsoft Outlook for all e-mail communications.
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations is easy and is very user friendly.
  • The enhanced features in Excel make it easy to turn raw data into presentation items that can be understood by non-financially inclined indiviuals.
  • Teams enables team members to communicate seamlessly and easily with each other when in multiple locations.
  • Using Outlook for our e-mail communications enables all team members to use identical formats giving a professional appearance in communications.
  • There are some functions in Excel that I have seen are available in other versions that are not available in the 365 version.
  • The default format in Word is spaced oddly. In my opinion, the default should be single spaced between each row, you should have to select that.
  • Teams should be able to be used in a smaller window, similar to how AOL Instant Messanger used to be.
Microsoft teams is a very useful platform that can increase efficiency and enable teams to work together. The Teams function has made communication much easier, especially considering the state of remote work in the current environment. As a daily user of Excel, I have found this version to be very easy to use and navigate.

Our entire organization utilizes Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)]. It currently addresses team presentations, customer statement request, document sharing between employees, company news articles, training materials, emailing large files, and much much more.
  • Working on multiple pages at the same time.
  • Easily editing any errors or mistakes.
  • The ability to easily share any document.
  • Microsoft 365 can be overwhelming for new users but the over all experience is amazing.
Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)] always seem appropriate. We use it for just about every part of our job. With that in mind If I really had to choose a time when it's not appropriate, it would when I'm integrating new workflows into our system.

We currently use Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)] for Outlook, Word, Excel, and Sharepoint. Then Admin side of the Cloud dashboard is very user friendly. the cloud version is much more efficient that using Exchange Server. I have been slowly pushing for all of our employees to start using Teams for meetings and other work from home uses.
  • Easy to use
  • Efficient
  • Cost effective for small business
  • Licenses run out fast
For the last year we have been working from home, the combination of Teams and Outlook have really made the transition from the office to home easy. There are not bulky servers or other hardware that needs to be maintained. The Cloud aspect of Microsoft 365 has really been a game changer.

[Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)] is being used by our entire organization. It alleviates us worrying about backups, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • It provides consistent updates
  • It provides a lot of tools in 1 bundle
  • Microsoft 365 makes adding new users easy.
  • Uptime is an issue. There have been multiple outages
  • It is hard to get features added
  • The amount of updates and changes is overwhelming to keep up with
[Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)] is great if you are already using Microsoft Office and Exchange want to have the cloud versions.

Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is used daily in all our company departments. We have a complete suite of Microsoft Office software on the cloud that is both secure and available all the time, everywhere, through all devices. Our team remotely handles all projects and tasks, and Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) provides the ability to work in groups, categorize, save and share, and chat online with individuals and groups. It makes the individual, group, and organizational productivity lower cost. Each user has access to their calendar, email, and cloud storage space and can easily share it with their colleague or team. The good part of the cloud is we always access the latest version of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote on all devices.
  • Availability on all devices and integration of Microsoft Office software with each other, which can easily be done as a team
  • Secure storage space in a cloud environment that is securely available everywhere and where all projects are stored and backed up
  • Mobile and web versions of Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) applications are available through the browser without installation
  • Professional OCR image converter or PDF and text importer should be added to the default office features so that texts can be easily scanned from any language and used in the Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) cloud
  • The variety of files received through imports that can be used in the office environment is limited and must use the artificial intelligence system in the conversion and detection of files automatically
Since last year, many companies have shifted their workforce to remote and online work, and comprehensive tools like Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) have done a great job of developing and integrating things. File sharing, teamwork, file sharing, team sharing, and calendar are some of the benefits of this system, all on a secure cloud platform ‌and available from everywhere.

Office365 for Education

We started using it for student email 12 years ago. We moved staff to the platform two years ago to avoid the expense of upgrading Exchange on prem. Best decision ever. No more managing mailbox sizes and running out of storage for mailboxes. The Office apps are easier to manage than the desktop versions too. Initially moved just for the email issue, but the other features are really starting to shine.
  • Mail accessibility not dependent on campus network.
  • Can use the apps on any device.
  • Increased productivity of employees.
  • Greater interaction between workers with Teams.
  • Reliability - we’ve seen a few outages that have been extended.
  • Outlook app on mobile devices not as full featured as desktop version.
In Higher Education, Office365 is free so there is no reason not to move. There is the question of backups. Just because it’s in the cloud at Microsoft, you are responsible for your own backups. So that is an added expense to take care of.

Used just by me as an entrepreneur, and I have 5 email accounts.
  • When working, you receive and can send emails
  • When working, you can manage your calendar
  • When working, you can sometimes have video meetings with Teams
  • When trying to resolve problems their phone help service could operate from 8am to 10pm which would be far more useful than 9am-5pm!
  • Web advice would be better if it were accurate. For example don't tell people to go to File/Account settings/Accounts to find out what version of outlook you have when in fact that informatino is not stored there!
  • When re-directing a server, it would be better if Microsoft was able to accommodate such a move without disconnecting from the server and requiring hours of headaches for those trying to resolve the issue.
  • Don't provide chat help if they simply direct you to call support, which is not actually operating.
  • Essentially, make trouble shooting A LOT EASIER! With information where it should be.
It is not suited to anyone who doesn't have an IT professional on their staff.

It is used across the whole company. The idea is to have access to data from various sources and equipment. The documents are also shared with customers through One Drive. It’s a much easier and more secure way to transmit information. These documents are usually of MS Word or Excel formats, a well as videos. Some of the latter may be too big to send by email.
  • Price.
  • It is unreliable - often slow or hangs.
  • In both Excel and PowerPoint it often screws up the formatting when you download or use the desktop version from the cloud one. On Excel for example, dates are often reformatted or even changed.
  • Getting help for any issues is almost impossible, or at least soul destroying.
  • Constantly updating Word and Excel to make it even more counter-intuitive.
  • Often the files are inaccessible through the system thinking that these are currently being used by someone else - even when I am the sole user.
  • Often very slow response times - sometimes up to 8 minutes. This is not due to the native environment.
If it was more reliable it would be excellent. It’s a great idea that has not been implemented well. I have been using Microsoft products for over 20 years and I sometimes wonder about their quality assurance.

MS Office 365 was the office productivity platform of choice for the entire organization. As the organization relied heavily on spreadsheets for analytics, Excel was the front end of our SAP data system. The ubiquity of Microsoft products insured that individuals, regardless of department, had a basic working knowledge of Excel. More advanced users were able to take advantage of macro and VB scripting as well.
  • Seamlessly integrate a suite of Office tools.
  • Accessible to users across a broad spectrum of capabilities - from basic to advanced.
  • Facilitates remote work by virtue of being so common.
  • Tends to be "bloated" with features that are rarely invoked or ill-suited for the purpose. Is there anybody who would create a web page using Word's ability to save as HTML?
  • Overly complicated once simple functions. What MS did to Mail Merge is a crime.
  • PowerPoint lacks the ability to automatically convert presentations or slides created by users in another country to the format native to different users. For example, if using a PPT template created in Asia, the template will rely on the original grammar roles not the current grammar rules of the current user (i.e. word wrap in text boxes). Need to upload the appropriate language pack and to manually make changes to default formatting which has been "appropriated" by the original language.
It works well in virtually every organization from small to medium to enterprise. Though there are a number of open-source equivalents that work well and even handle MS Office files easily, MS Office is clearly the market leader (something like 90% of the email and authoring market according to a 2020 Gartner study) so generally the learning curve is not steep.

Microsoft Office 365 is used daily in my organization. It is a very important product to my organization. For example, my organization uses Sharepoint as a tool to access group files remotely. It has allowed us to keep track of Operations, Finances, and Sales. Also, it also has allowed us to present very important information each quarter to our investors as well.
  • Presentation to audiences.
  • Allows strategic decision making.
  • Allows documents to be accessed remotely.
Microsoft Office 365 can be very useful to a wide range of organizations such as businesses and education. Microsoft Office 365 has the flexibility to be useful to almost everyone. For example, Excel can be useful for both the Operations and Finance departments.

Microsoft Office 365 is used in my organization daily. Microsoft Office 365 plays a very important role in my department's success. My department uses specifically Microsoft Excel. This product is very useful for my department because my department manages our organization's finances. Without Microsoft Office 365, it would be very difficult to manage our day to day tasks.
  • Ability to customize important documents and reports.
  • Allows strategic decision making.
  • Ability to password protect specific slides and line items in files.
  • Pricing
Microsoft Office 365 is well suited for a very wide large group of audiences. Currently, every department in my organization uses Microsoft Office 365 daily. This includes Accounting, Operations, and Sales. I believe Microsoft Office 365 can also be well suited for educational audiences as well. Microsoft Office 365 can be very helpful for both teachers and students as well.

Overall, the pricing and packaging are admirable. My main reason for going for Outlook 365 was to have a reliable email service. My previous provider had issues and was looking for an email service provider. I was hoping Outlook 365 would not have those issues. with the matter of reliability am surely not impressed. Emails started having issues after some time. One of the team members has emails getting delivered to the mailboxes. Contact and support with the office support team took a good time but got resolved. It seemed they forgot to whitelist their own emails.
So we sent out emails to our clients again to make sure they reach. This works.
Now another 15 days down the line I am getting complaints from the customer that they scheduled an appointment via email and I never got it. I figured out a lot of our emails were not getting delivered. Spent some time with the support person they want the email message-ids of all emails that were not delivered. How would I get all those? I decided that it was time to move on. Still extremely excited with Microsoft Teams and have made it part of our company process with free SharePoint and other services on the cloud.
  • Lots of freebies like Sharepoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Easy to set-up some good features needed but was easy set-up.
  • Outlook client is very convenient.
  • Calendar integrations well done. One of the best way to set-up meetings.
  • Disappointed by the reliability of email service for which I came for.
  • Customer service agent were trained but not experts and had to change a couple of times by opening the tickets again with different customer service.
  • Teams meeting don't have call-in or call-me options.
I would recommend this for teams but would highly not recommend anyone to move email service as its extremely unreliable. Lots of important emails got missing. I thought it may be one or 2 trivial incidents but when it became consistently unreliable had to move on. I will keep some services for teams and SharePoint but not for emails.

Office 365 is used throughout our organization. We utilize all the features our license allows. We currently have 20,000+ users. We moved from on prem exchange to Office 365 a few years ago and haven't looked back. Support provided from Microsoft is top notch.
  • The storage we are offered through Office 365 is more than we could ever offer using an on prem solution.
  • Teams has become one of our top tools for users.
  • It is very easy to manage through the office admin center.
  • We sometimes have some lag with emails. Our users expect emails as soon as they are sent and are a little disappointed.
  • We are a hybrid environment and have some issues with on prem nested groups.
  • Users need to have excessive rights to attach items to Calendar Events.
Office 365 is well suited for us where storage is at a prime. We have 10TB of OneDrive storage for all users as well as a 50GB mailbox. To achieve that level of storage on premise for 20,000 users would not be possible, both for cost and actual storage. We recently implemented Teams and it is great for collaborating.

We have multiple users in our company who use Office 365. Microsoft Office is one of those products they you really can't work without. One of the greatest benefits of using Office 365 is that it is always current with the latest version or updates. It's also great that you can install it on multiple computers, for instance I have it installed on my desktop and my laptop using the same license. Another great feature that is not mentioned much is that it comes with 1TB of online storage with OneDrive.
  • Always up to date.
  • Available as an installation or online.
  • Comes with 1TB storage via OneDrive.
  • Always current.
  • Outlook is too busy and not always easy to set up.
  • Wish it included Visio.
  • Doesn't always work well if internet connection is bad (unless you install on your PC).
Office 365 is great for small businesses or for personal use. I can not think of really any reason why you would get office in any other form. If you are in a larger environment it might be better to look at volume licensing to reduce the overall cost of the licensing.

Office 365 is being used by my company across the organization, although it is currently being offered only to senior employees.

It is particularly useful for people who are on the go and need to be able to access their documents and emails from wherever they may be. Not only does Office 365 come with loads of cloud storage, it gives access to SharePoint, Teams, OneNote and many other applications.
  • Access to all our documents using OneDrive for Business.
  • Ability to collaborate live with colleagues on documents that are shared with the whole team.
  • The prompts to sign in to all the different office suite products via pop-ups is annoying. This should be fixed through a single sign on solution.
  • Office 365 needs to fix some syncing issues when collaborating with others on a document.
It is highly suited for a corporate company with medium or large-sized teams. Smaller companies may be better off using G Suite, but Office 365 adds structure, professionalism, and reliability to the mix. If a company needs to make its mobile workers more productive, Office 365 is a great option.

Our organization wanted to consolidate our on-premise Exchange server and Office Suite. We moved the whole business to the cloud of Microsoft Office 365 a little over two years ago. This allowed us to reduce the ongoing costs of maintaining our own Exchange environment and would keep our Office software up to date through the subscription. It also simplified staff access to online Office resources when working outside the office.
  • We no longer need to maintain our own email environment. This helped with security by being kept up to date and protected by the Office 365 environment.
  • Access to online applications. The fact that users can log in from any computer and have access to Microsoft Office 365 applications online is terrific.
  • Creating email accounts that are integrated with our AD meant having to enter values that were automatic before manually.
  • The delay in synchronizing AD with Microsoft Office 365 caused some delays in rushing out new accounts at times.
I think Microsoft Office 365 is a great and reliable product, but there are times when a traditional Office product would make more sense. Also, the ongoing cost of a subscription needs to be weighed over a flat purchase every few years. Besides the price and situational concerns, the product makes a lot of sense for many business users and is recommended.

Microsoft Office 365 is used across the whole international organization. It's been a great cloud-based improvement to our previous productivity suite, which included outdated standard Office applications. The suite of Office 365 products allows all users to be more collaborative. Specifically, Microsoft Teams and shared Office Docs are new for some in the company, but they have allowed for greater collaboration and file sharing internally.
  • Familiar user experience
  • Multiple access points (desktop, web, tablet, mobile)
  • Backend file storage issues (SharePoint for Microsoft Teams)
  • Native OS experience for accessing shared folders
Microsoft Office 365 is well suited for corporations that are familiar with the traditional Microsoft Office applications, which a majority of the workforce uses. Although it's similar to the old ways of doing things with Microsoft Office and pre-cloud, Microsoft Office 365 helps transition users to the cloud and fosters collaborative ways of working within a familiar user experience. It may not be as well suited for start-up or tech environments where the workforce is more cutting edge and adaptable to the latest and greatest.

Office 365 is used mainly for Excel and Word, with a few people using it to create presentations, make signs, etc. and others using OneDrive to store work-related material they need to share with other office users. We had tried open source solutions in the past and while many of them are quite good, the default is Office/Excel/Word and it greatly simplified daily tasks for our users to have the same tools as "everyone" else.
  • Excel is the standard to which all others reach.
  • It's compatible with everything, even older legacy programs that require Word to be installed to print merged forms, etc.
  • As a Microsoft Office trial comes on all new machines, for users and IT people it's almost always as simple as signing in to activate and use policies that are set up by the administrator.
  • Generic errors when the license check fails can be very confusing.
  • The trust center is confusing to some people, but once you get used to it, it's OK.
  • I prefer the old drop-down menus to the side menu that opens but it's a matter of being used to it and decades of doing it the other way.
Office 365 is very well suited to a company where everyone is doing different jobs yet frequently need to share documents for different reasons, say adding pages to a workbook, etc. It's perfect when creating data that needs to be sent to others outside the company, and it's great for IT managers who want something simple to deploy and manage.

It's not necessary when creating docs that do not require more advanced Excel functions or that will not be shared.

I use every aspect of Office 365; mainly all applications within help me achieve most of my daily tasks and keep in touch with my peers and customers. The most amazing part of Office is that we can have all tools without having to download it separately, and we have support on-demand, all the training they provide and more.
  • Communication and business content creation
  • Integrating with other services
  • Distribution
  • Work on other devices other than PC
Office 365 has an advantage on any other software out there, for its unique and diverse tools to get your work done in every aspect of your business. All its functionalities and capabilities only drive progress.

Office 365 is being used across the whole organization and across other organizations I support. It provides perfectly stable Office application experiences and the most reliable email service on the market today. I am beginning to research all of the new apps that Microsoft has added and hope to begin deploying them to everyone very soon.
  • Email - for me, that's been an uptime of 100% across multiple locations for over 4 years
  • Office Products - subscription based means you always have the latest versions - stable and the industry standard
  • Office on my mobile devices - all of them
  • Fix OneDrive. The split between SharePoint and OneDrive must be fixed. It's highly confusing to set up and use. Especially when using the personal version.
  • Definitely a more robust area (offline) where more than one person can work on a document - with live updates - at the same time.
  • I think more of the online features should be accessible and/or integrated into the offline software - such as Delve, Yammer, and the like.
Perfect for email - that almost goes without saying. Robust, stable and just works. Email archiving and legal holds are also excellent tools for a lot of industries and these too work very well. Office online and offline makes for a special type of access that fits most end users. As you can see there are not many areas that I can think of offhand where Office 365 is not appropriate.
