Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Office 365

Office 365 is used throughout our organization. We utilize all the features our license allows. We currently have 20,000+ users. We moved from on prem exchange to Office 365 a few years ago and haven't looked back. Support provided from Microsoft is top notch.
  • The storage we are offered through Office 365 is more than we could ever offer using an on prem solution.
  • Teams has become one of our top tools for users.
  • It is very easy to manage through the office admin center.
  • We sometimes have some lag with emails. Our users expect emails as soon as they are sent and are a little disappointed.
  • We are a hybrid environment and have some issues with on prem nested groups.
  • Users need to have excessive rights to attach items to Calendar Events.
  • Positive - Storage
  • Negative - Problems require Microsoft assistance
  • Positive - Licensing is easily managed
  • Negative - Email recovery can be cumbersome
Microsoft is superior due to Canadian Datacenters. We are required to keep all data in Canada and Microsoft assures us of this. We explored Google Storage but we had to create an Informed Consent Policy but it did not meet our privacy criteria.
Office 365 is much more than just email. When used with Azure it is a very powerful suite of products. It is also easy to manage.

Office 365 is well suited for us where storage is at a prime. We have 10TB of OneDrive storage for all users as well as a 50GB mailbox. To achieve that level of storage on premise for 20,000 users would not be possible, both for cost and actual storage. We recently implemented Teams and it is great for collaborating.
