SolarWinds for K-12
We are a K-12 school district that has 11 schools and 2 administrative buildings. We have around 80 logical switch stacks and around 9000 physical ports in addition to almost 600 access points. We use NPM extensively to monitor all of our infrastructure equipment as well as our servers and IT appliances. NPM gives us a single pane of glass to quickly be alerted to any issues that our equipment may have.

Great Product - Would buy it again and again.
We use SolarWinds Network Performance Manager (NPM) to manage our control system for our public safety radio system and call recording. The NPM allows me to instantly capture the system health at a glance, and be notified in or out of the office of any current or impending issues.

SolarWinds NPM - Good product, but watch out for the add ons
We utilize NPM to monitor our global network and server infrastructure. It provides us with basic monitoring and alerting capability, as well as historical trends. Until recently, it was used exclusively for our network environment (and sparingly) because we did not have the license capacity to do more. Once we upgraded the licensing, we were able to leverage it for our server environment, monitoring Windows and Linux VMs, as well as our vSphere hosts.

SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor -- Increases Monitoring, Increases Performance
Within my current organization, SolarWinds is used for monitoring of network devices and servers within our domain. We use it for gathering of performance metrics (interface utilization, processor utilization, etc) as well as device uptime and reachability. Our primary goal for this monitoring is that it helps with understanding the "right-size" of equipment to purchase for an organization, in addition to providing maximum uptime for our end users.

SolarWinds NPM: The performance of a lifetime!
Solarwinds Network Performance Monitor is used across our entire organization. We use it to monitor the infrastructure of our remote site across 72 square miles. NPM allows us to customize views for different users which allows us to have basic monitoring and reporting available to the staff, whereas our IT department can see the polling and errors on specific ports. It allows us to identify problems and resolve them before the end-users at remote sites are even aware of them.

NPM a great Solarwinds product
Our experience with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM) is great. We (IT department) monitor more than 3000 devices, from routers to switches, servers to virtual environments. Is super easy to add new devices with network discovery. We also like to create all kind of alarms to be aware of any situation happening on the network.

SolarWinds Does it with Style
We use it for our school district. It is used by our IT department. It helps us find issues with switches and any server connectivity issues, from bandwidth to other issues causing slowness.
There are multiple groups at Microsoft that use SolarWinds NPM, in this case it's being used by the cloud and enterprise organization to keep track of the network and servers for the developer division. It addresses a gap between our server monitoring and the more global IT monitoring done by our MSIT group.

A product that does what it says and more
Our Network Team uses SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor on a daily basis to not only monitor but also diagnose problems within our network. SNPM gives us direct insights into network traffic. Before using this product, network issues were a mystery.

SolarWinds Network Device provides in-depth monitoring
We initially used SolarWinds for our network infrastructure, but due to the shrinking of IT budgets, server infrastructure was also added in the scope. Now, we are able to monitor servers every hour of every day without needing to have a dedicated agent installed.

A good and reliable tool for infrastructure.
Used across the whole organization for:
- Inventory management
- Alert analysis
- Resource monitoring
Being a media company there is a large amount of broadcast network traffic between production control rooms throughout the local TV stations. The Network Performance Monitor 12, allows a comprehensive toolset and a single pane of glass to view, troubleshoot, monitor and map my network to be the most efficient. The tool is not being used throughout the entire environment as of today but since the capabilities are superior to most other products on the market, the adoption factor is catching on and we will expand the tool on a large scale across our multiple domestics datacenters.

Just the right tool for the job.
SolarWinds NPM currently monitors our internet connections and links between major systems. Many times we are alerted to an issue before our carriers even know there is an issue. It also monitors our servers with historical statistics that have allowed us to forecast our storage needs as well as troubleshoot system performance issues caused by applications like queries and scheduled tasks.
The IT Department uses SolarWinds NPM to monitor the status of our school board's network infrastructure and servers across 200+ schools and datacenters, and rapidly responds to any system outages which affect programme delivery to staff and students. Primary users of this system are the IT department.

NPM SolarWinds and our experience
It is used across our entire internal network, to include 4 remote locations. It helps us to identify network problems before they reach the end user. We watch for high pings, network outages, how our failovers are working as well as other items of interest to our "customers" (internal users/employees).

NPM and NCM
SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor handles our backup/recovery of network appliances in over 18 sites. We input not only network appliances but cameras, printers, and anything else we would like notification of if it goes down. Daily emails are set up to alert us before the day begins if there were any problems overnight.

Robust piece of software
We are using SolarWinds to monitor our network across 17 different locations. We get notified when switches and routers are rebooted all the way to the devices overheating. We also use it to geo-map our buildings so we know where our equipment is as well as all of the IPs and configuration of the devices. It's a very robust piece of software.

We use Network Performance Monitor to monitor all major network nodes across our company, from our data center to our satellite locations. Only the IT department uses it but it is trusted to work by the entire organization.

NPM - not just another tool.
NPM is currently being used by the IT deparment only, I'd say the Helpdesk and Network teams are the heavy users. It's mainly used on all of our Cisco devices in our Data Center as well as our Branch offices across the globe. We leverage the NCM and NTA as well. The main objective today is to monitor uptime and bandwidth utilization at our branch offices by sending NTA data back to our DC so we can review top talkers at each location when bandwidth usage is at its peak. It's also a great place to backup and store all of our Network devices configurations, we take daily and monthly backups of all devices globally. We actually have the Worldwide map displayed at a giant display in our IT office so Helpdesk team can quickly identify when an office went down and act on it.
We currently use SolarWinds NPM to monitor various attributes of our network routers, switches, and firewalls such as the network uptime, device health, and interface bandwidth and errors.

SolarWinds NPM: a must have tool for any network
We use SolarWinds NPM to monitor all nodes on our network. Only IT uses SolarWinds NPM and we (IT) use it for monitoring, baselining and troubleshooting.
We use it to monitor our entire infrastructure to get alerts if a node goes down. We also use it to gather basic performance data.
NPM is used daily for active reporting of network services to all of our locations. Currently, only the Infrastructure Teams utilize the platform for triage, outages and performance tuning.
