What is Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365?

Veeam® Backup for Microsoft 365  aims to eliminate the risk of losing access and control over Microsoft 365 data including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Microsoft Teams – so that data is always protected and accessible. Veeam can securely backup Microsoft 365 to any location, including on premises, a hyperscale cloud, or a service provider and:

  • Protects Microsoft 365 data from accidental deletion, security threats and retention policy gaps
  • Quickly restores individual Microsoft 365 email, files and sites with recovery flexibility
  • Meet legal and compliance requirements with eDiscovery of Microsoft 365 items

NEW in Version 7: Advanced monitoring and reporting through an integration with Veeam ONE v12. This is available as a separate installation and comes at no additional cost to Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 customers. V7 also includes: Backup copy between ANY object storage systems with immutability for ransomware protection, and Microsoft Teams support for self-service restores via the Restore Portal.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365's is very friendly to use, they are a lot docs in case , the dashboard is clean and full of features , all you need to do before you use this software is to read the beginners doc or look the official video who explain every things/feature available

The product is very easy to set up and use out of the box. Ours was installed on a Windows virtual machine and connected as a proxy to our NAS. Once the backups were configured, the sets pulled everything associated with a user or group from the cloud and backed it up. It gets everything, even things you don't think you need.

It's easy, people like it. All system administrators can use the platform without any major issues. I believe it can improve on the user friendly interface and also make it more understandable with tips along the way.
