Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365
I use it to backup my O365 environment in order to provide protection from data loss. We didn't have a solution for it which left us vulnerable. I looked at several offerings but Veeam fit the need the perfectly. We are growing our use of Office365 therefore this will become more critical as it grows.
- It works with a wide variety of storage devices
- It easily connects to Office365
- It clearly displays the tree structure so you can see the hierarchy
- I was able to use its granular recovery feature right away. It does that well.
- Some of the options for encryption and replication weren't very clear. I figured everything out, but it required me to delete and recreate some backups.
- It seems slow when backing up. Understanding that this is cloud data, I would hope for some method to optimize it so backups will be faster.
- It works as described and does what I need
- It was affordable
Backup is critical. We had data in Office365 so we needed a backup solution. Cost, ease of use and flexibility lead to the purchase.

Veeam had a more useful features et for me and the cost was in line. They stood out.
