Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 for all virtual servers inside of the MS Azure Environment. It is a critical part of our Disaster Recovery Plans. We have trusted Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 with our data for over 20 years. Highly recommend it to those who require Cloud-based backups and recovery. The product is priced reasonably as well.

Extremely Positive impacts from the security, Audit and DR BC aspects
Overall compared to other companies I would say we have saved well over 50% in comp to what we would have had to do via 3rd party application cost (this is due to other applications NOT having features that we demanded in our environment, as well as expenses setting up any other products.
Also Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is compatible with Azure, Azure GCC, Azure GCCH as well as IBM and AWS environments.

Veeam for Microsoft Office 365 Needs Assessment

Been using Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 for a long time but originally it was found out from MS that Data was not being backed up - so we began our search and due diligence for the very best product. We chose Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 and never looked back. Been using a Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 version ever since. No regrets and I could sleep nights. :)

We had a huge Gantt chart not that long ago and it somehow became corrupted. We went back to a version from earlier in the morning and were able to recover and get back to work in approximately 15 minutes. This saved our Engineering team 100s of hours in time. We have not had to take advantage of this yet, but we did test the features and it is great.

Alternatives Considered

Barracuda Cloud Archive (Sonian)

Tested the Barracuda Sonian product. Offered little in comp to Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365.

Support Rating

Haven't had to engage often but their support team is very good and stays with it end to end until a resolution is met.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you have a large IT Data Team you might want to do the DR/BC yourselves. I used to do that, but today I do not have the bandwidth to do it in-house. Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 became the perfect fit years ago. I have never had a reason to look elsewhere, whether I was with a very large enterprise or a Start-Up - Growth Company. The fit seems to be right for all levels of business.
