Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

We use Adobe Acrobat daily to create, sign, and edit PDFs. These are our most common use cases, but we also use it quite frequently to send PDFs for comment as well. There is also a high likelihood that if we need a form created for our organization we will use Adobe Acrobat to create the form. Our organization uses PDFs so commonly that Adobe Acrobat is everyone's default PDF opener, reader, and editor.
  • The edit PDF tool is a game changer for our business. There is no other tool that is as easy to use for small, quick PDF edits.
  • Adobe Acrobat makes adding, deleting, and combining PDFs very simple and seamless.
  • The comment tools, and the function to share for my comments with my colleagues, makes it easy to collaborate with my team on the same PDF document.
  • Although I have used the tool to create and prepare forms, it can be a little clunky and not as intuitive to use as say other form and questionnaire tools on the market. It feels like I spend too much time trying to make and optimize the form.
  • The export PDF to other formats like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, image, etc. is sometimes hit or miss. I like using it to export to Word, but other formats just don't often work for me. It obviously depends on the document, but this feature is often rendered useless for me.
  • The redact features should be easier to use. I find this feature to be a bit confusing the first time I used it. And I don't use the feature enough so that every time I do use it, I need to relearn how to use it.
  • I wish that there were some additional snipping, copying, and pasting features for PDF documents that were included in the software.
  • Our organization uses Adobe Acrobat daily to edit and make changes to PDFs.
  • We also use it to add, delete, and combine pages in one or more PDF documents on a daily basis.
  • We also use it frequently as an easy way to send and collect a signature for PDF documents.

We use PDF documents so commonly in our organization that we needed everyone to use the same tool to open, read, edit, and organize documents. We wanted something that was seamless, reliable, and easy to use. Adobe Acrobat checked all three of those boxes and seemed like the most logical choice.
  • We don't waste time trying to figure out how to make small changes to PDFs. Previously, we would export back and forth from PDF to Word and vice versa. Now, we just edit the PDF directly in Acrobat.
  • Previously, there were some in our organization that were using free online tools to combine PDFs. Oftentimes, these tools were slow, ineffective, and forcing employees to download software. Now we all use Acrobat and we don't have any of those issues.
  • Collecting a signature on a PDF used to be a hassle but with Adobe we can easily send out a document for someone to sign. This has sped up how we move forward on decisions, projects, etc.
Adobe is such a well-known and trusted brand in the space that we do not worry about our organization's data. We feel extremely comfortable in using Adobe to work on sensitive, proprietary company documents. We feel that not only is this because of their trustworthy brand name, but also due to the fact, that they invest so heavily in security.
I just don't feel as comfortable using other PDF editors. They just don't have the same name and look as Adobe Acrobat and I worry about the security of using other software to work on our company's documents. They may have similar features as Adobe Acrobat but I don't see any overall improvement to the features that Acrobat offers.

If your organization uses PDFs frequently, then Adobe Acrobat feels like must-have. I could not imagine our organization not using it. The ability to create, organize, and edit PDFs easily and intuitively are the main reasons my organization uses it. The other additional functions and features are "nice to haves", but ultimately, don't impact our day-to-day.
