Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC

Our office uses this daily for multiple reasons. We distribute, review and share documents. We have also used it to create forms and distribute them. It can be helpful to provide a notation on documents. Also, appreciate the lock feature for legal documents and secure signatures. Every department uses it differently, but we all use it. I appreciate how well it integrates with other Adobe products.
  • Secure a document / signature.
  • Keep documents from shifting if a user does not have a font installed.
  • Ability to compress larger documents.
  • Wish could import or find missing fonts easily - hard to edit a document and be missing a font.
  • Converting to word is still wonky - would love to see improvement here.
  • When extracting an image it loses the layers in a document and only pulls the bottom image, not any labels that were placed on top.
  • Secure signature
  • Ability to lock document
  • Notation / annotation
  • We use it so much that we have to get everyone in the office to want a license - not content to just use the free reader when other features are occasionally helpful, but they don't always need it to be so robust.
  • There is confusion between if this or Bluebeam is better for our team for applications.
  • We share a consistent file type a lot now, which is nice.
PDFs are still wonky on phones - wish it was easier to view, share and edit when not on my laptop. Had to switch to Google sheets for resident materials as they were overwhelmed and not able to properly access PDFs if they didn't use them in their professional lives.
I don't know anything about the security and compliance standards' impact on our organization. I do know that I appreciate the ability to lock documents and password-protect them, especially when sharing legal documents, bids, or agreements/specifications.
I don't use Bluebeam, but many of my coworkers do - particularly when it comes to construction plans and surveys. They tend not to use Adobe Acrobat DC as much, sticking to Bluebeam for everything, but because they have the software they do not have difficulty using Adobe Acrobat DC-created documents in Bluebeam.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

Legal documents and documents requiring signature Forms kinda work - wish it was easier to use if a form is created in word to be transferred into adobe as a form, the fields don't always work as desired. When using and distributing to people not used to professional documents, particularly those on their phones, the PDFs are hard to download and read for them, wish it was easier - working on a non-profit board creating materials for residents.
