Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC
Our office uses this daily for multiple reasons. We distribute, review and share documents. We have also used it to create forms and distribute them. It can be helpful to provide a notation on documents. Also, appreciate the lock feature for legal documents and secure signatures. Every department uses it differently, but we all use it. I appreciate how well it integrates with other Adobe products.
- Secure a document / signature.
- Keep documents from shifting if a user does not have a font installed.
- Ability to compress larger documents.
- Wish could import or find missing fonts easily - hard to edit a document and be missing a font.
- Converting to word is still wonky - would love to see improvement here.
- When extracting an image it loses the layers in a document and only pulls the bottom image, not any labels that were placed on top.
- Secure signature
- Ability to lock document
- Notation / annotation
- We use it so much that we have to get everyone in the office to want a license - not content to just use the free reader when other features are occasionally helpful, but they don't always need it to be so robust.
- There is confusion between if this or Bluebeam is better for our team for applications.
- We share a consistent file type a lot now, which is nice.
I don't know anything about the security and compliance standards' impact on our organization. I do know that I appreciate the ability to lock documents and password-protect them, especially when sharing legal documents, bids, or agreements/specifications.
I don't use Bluebeam, but many of my coworkers do - particularly when it comes to construction plans and surveys. They tend not to use Adobe Acrobat DC as much, sticking to Bluebeam for everything, but because they have the software they do not have difficulty using Adobe Acrobat DC-created documents in Bluebeam.
