Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Captivate Prime

It is currently used for external training modules and will be used internally (at the company I am consulting at). We are creating SOPs that contain text, images, and videos. It is being used by all departments as each department has input into the training for internal and external customers.
  • Making a consistent looking set of materials/themes.
  • Ability to add images and video.
  • Ability to add quizzes.
  • For new users of Adobe products, there is a little bit of a learning curve and "fear factor" in using this application.
  • It will allow us to standardize training materials. Build it once and deploy many times, so I think over time our training cost will decrease.
  • There is an initial investment in resources to make sure others are trained in using not only this app but others to support it (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Initial effort to review current paper-based training is also an investment in resources.
As mentioned previously - they extended a trial period so we could fully explore features and functions. This allowed a lot of the developers and users to review and comment—this helped with the decision.
It was the ability to integrate the support tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Adobe products. But also integrating with others.
The ability to produce a great-looking and easy-to-use set of training materials has made us look very professional. It appears to scale well and I especially like how it interfaces well with other Adobe products. Once you are able to do the basics as a developer, seeing examples of what other companies are doing with this then allows us to continue to add to our features.
