Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Alteryx is being used across the whole organization from the tax department to the assurance department. Alteryx is a fantastic software that allows for data manipulation and complex workflows that would normally take a program like excel double, maybe even twice the manual work. With Alteryx expect juiced up version of excel with a workflow layout allowing you to build custom flows to manipulate and understand complex data.

Alteryx is well suited when dealing with LARGE data files that need to be converted to different document types, Manipulation of data, and creating standardized workflows to be used a multitude of times.

Less appropriate, simple/ small data files not needing much manipulation. Logical excel formulas could be used to solve the issue.. etc.

1 - Easy to use data wrangling and manipulation software to transfer clients from a legacy accounting software to Sage intacct accounting software. Given the use of import templates Alteryx's ability to easily manipulate and extrapolate key data needing to be in a specific format for the import to correctly be imported within the new system with virtually no kick-back errors due to import formatting issues.

1 - 1 key user that builds all the workflows needed for standardized template manipulation. Must understand alteryx product as a whole and it’s functionalities between tools l. Important to know what to pull and what tool to use to get the data in the format you need in order for successful import

Hard to find exact answers for what you specifically need to accomplish due to various cases. Factoring in that individual experiences may vary depending on the specific issue and support representative, but overall, Alteryx appears to have a strengthened it's reputation for providing responsive and helpful support, every case I've submitted now the ticketing and customer service system is in place I've received appropriate support.

Strong learning curve. May be difficult for large corporations to implement training courses to teach such intricacies. Many different functions that take time and research to understand use cases. Many people spin wheels on one simple issue but know general issues document provided for reference. Once experienced in alteryx provides tremendous reduce of Overhead
