Overall Satisfaction with Android

In our organization, Android is mostly being used in the phones of our employees. Another place that we use it is on our Chromebooks. Chrome OS supports the use of the Google Play store, and so we are able to put Android apps on our Chromebooks for students to use. It makes it so we don't have to buy other iPads or android tablets for classroom use and to get the apps we want.
  • Android allows you to customize a lot of things.
  • Using Android SDK allows you to get apps not in the app store.
  • It is very affordable.
  • Can be tricky for some users if they've never used it before.
  • Not very good support.
  • It has saved us money.
  • It allows us to customize our devices to fit our needs.
These two operating systems are both great and can totally do everything that we need in our school. The reason we go with Android is that it is cheaper and we have a greater variety of apps available to us. iOS can be a little pricey and it also doesn't allow us to do the customization that we want.
I've neither had super great nor super terrible support for Android. Since there are so many options within Android, their support team hasn't been able to always answer the questions that I have had. There has been more good than bad with their support so that is why I gave it a 7 instead of an even split 5.

Do you think Android delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Android's feature set?

Yes

Did Android live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Android go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Android again?

Yes

Android is great if you are on a budget and can't purchase other operating systems for mobile devices. It is also great for installing third-party apps if you find one you like. Although there is a lot of customization options available, this may cause some users to become frustrated if they are unfamiliar with this system.
