Overall Satisfaction with ApptioOne

I use ApptioOne for spend management, cost reduction, application and service TCO

  • more robust reporting customization capabilities
  • better integration between CLY and other core Apptio products

We use a combination of Data Link and manual uploads - there is definitely more opportunity for automation here for us. We created an entire suite of custom reporting - we use no out of the box reporting - the ability to customize our report in CT has been a game changer for us. IT Planning - we are the source of truth for IT's forecast and budgets with a completely operationalized forecasting practice that refreshes monthly

  • Prove a 13% non C&B spend reduction in CY23 using IT Planning and CLDY
  • FP&A partners rely on our tools and practices - no other business unit within Red Hat is able to provide the level of financial data that we can, thanks to the suite of Apptio products implemented
We have a very mature TBM practice and have been post implementation since 2017. Our ApptioOne CSM and PRemier Support resource have become an extension of our Red Hat team and an integral part of our success.
  • Cloudability
Because you can't really measure the ROI of actioned rightsizing and terminations suggestions in Apptio Cloudability, we built a custom cloud optimization dashboard marrying data from CLDY, AWS, ITP and CT. This dashboard in conjunction with Apptio Cloudability and our FinOps practice has been a game changer

ApptioOne is great for proving spend reductions via IT Planning (plus) proving ROI for actioned cloud spend efficiencies (minus....we had to create our own custom dashboard)
