Overall Satisfaction with Apricot by Social Solutions

We use Apricot as our agency wide database for client, volunteer and staff information. This gives our staff access to information no matter which office or field location they are in. We also use it administratively for vacation requests, incident/accident reporting, and tracking staff training, etc. This eliminates papers being passed from staff to supervisor to HR.
  • Apricot is extremely user friendly. I have no formal computer training, but I am the database administrator for our agency.
  • You can make things as simple or as complex as you choose.
  • Very nice reporting capabilities.
  • We would love to see a tickler system to alert us when things are coming due according to dates in the system.
  • Would love to be able to use secure web forms for data to be put in Tier 2 forms under client, volunteer or staff intake record folders.
  • Scheduling calendar or system for volunteers to sign up for shifts.
  • Apricot has made it much easier to provide informational reports on outcomes and outputs for our grant applications and funders.
  • Makes the flow of information between offices and staff much more efficient.
  • Allows staff to access and run their own reports in a secure system.

Having a secure, easy to use system to collect and report on data has allowed us more accurate reporting to our funding sources.

There was a huge difference in my ability to use Apricot compared to our old system. I feel very comfortable in my ability to modify Apricot to be most useful for our purposes. Our old system seemed to require a computer programming degree to make any changes.
Apricot is a great system for Human Service agencies collecting and reporting on client data.
We have not figured out how to make it work for scheduling our volunteers to fill open shifts.
