Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It really helps us out with the compliance because before we never knew how many systems were compliant and it was really hard for us to deploy those patterns through SCCM, as it sometimes breaks. But Automox has done it very easily for us.

Pros and Cons

Pros

I would say it has the flexibility of the user delaying the update multiple times so that they can do it at their respective times; since our company is a global company, and anybody can work from anywhere. That's, I think, the best part.

Cons

I think improvements around reporting would be done more effectively. Because right now we don't have enough opportunities in terms of reporting the stats that are coming out of Automox that can be improved.

I'm not using that product extensively, as I administer this to our users, but the people who have done it and have used it, really like the product. They can get these stats really well out, as well as the patches they want to deploy and whatnot. Then, they can create their own scripts to deploy other software as well through Automox. As I said, reporting is one of the key areas I think we can improve it. Cause we are using those same stats with a different tool and get the stats out in a graphical representation, which is not ideal.

Automox helps us with compliance
