Overall Satisfaction with Auvik
We are a Managed Service Provider and use this to manage networks for several of our larger customers. We use it to create documentation, and provide information on the network. Our external NOC also uses it for management and it is Integrated with our Professional Services Automation tool (autotask). We also use it for traffic analysis.
Pros
- Captures alerts over a LONG period of time (as long as the agent is installed)
- Excellent ability to drill down on Traffic data
- Inventory of assets, both network components and and all connected devices
- Visual Map alerts
- Ability to export data
Cons
- The reporting is not great and needs improvement. Much data, but not as useable in native format as it could be
- There have been issues with exporting data into Power BI in multi-site locations
- Multi-site location functionality and mapping could be better
- It's allowed to pinpoint specific applications that are consuming bandwidth
- Provides the ability to capture and analyze network configuration. This makes it much faster and easier for technicians otherwise unfamiliar to quickly look things over
Auvik was better in two key respects: MSP-friendly pricing and also in the ability for less experienced technicians to set it up and use it.

We were not even aware this was offered, but I don't think we would have needed it
Yes - Not as much "bug" as a limitation as is relates to exporting data for multi-site networks into Power BI. They took great interest in this and provided a work around (which was not practical for me given the large number of locations), but could be for some users with smaller networks.
They assigned an engineer to work with us on a Power BI export issue. They clearly showed interest in improving the product and we did joint sessions where we could go through detailed questions and they could take screen shots.
