Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

We have been with Blackbaud for over 15 years and moved to NXT about three years ago. We utilize the system by keeping our donors, prospects, employees, volunteers, and community members updated. All cash and in-kind donations are posted on accounts within NXT, and acknowledgment letters are generated for those gifts. Notes are kept in the note file as appropriate. Monthly reports are generated through Raiser's Edge to reconcile our foundation records with our corporate accounting department. If I need to report on a particular constituency, I can generate those reports as well. We print labels and envelopes for groups.

  • Can include grateful patients in fundraising direct mail to acquire more donors
  • Can easily and securely send our constituencies needed to our mail house for production
  • Continue to see more participation in our special events, year to year
This is where we fall short. I'd like to get more training to communicate with donors via email and learn more about analytics and data intelligence functionality.

Years ago I attended in-person training when first acquiring Blackbaud and it' is beneficial to have the instructor there in the room.
They offered a comparison and we never progressed to the next level, because they couldn't tell me cost or give me organizations in my region to interview about their satisfaction with the product.

I like the fact that I can use one or two letter templates and then easily edit to make our letters way more personal to the donor.
Can easily chat with Blackbaud when I do have an issue or question.
I need to carve out time for further training, as I know the RE has a lot more capacity than what our organization is using.
