Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

Our organization uses Raiser's Edge for fundraising, but it also includes patient/family information. We track gifts, use wealth engine, and store valuable information regarding donors that is very helpful in our fundraising endeavors. I find it very user friendly, and it is also helpful in allowing us to keep statistics, such as enthnicity, age and other important information when seeking Foundation and government grants.

  • This may seem silly, but the view on the non-browser page is too small
  • Being honest, I rely on our IT Director to pull reports, and thus have very little to complain about regarding RE, with the exception of above.

  • I also like being able to store valuable data related to individual gifts that will help me in the future as well as the next person who is using the database for fundraising endeavors.
RE has definitely been a boost for our team in sending appeals to the appropriate groups, including donor levels. We can segment and craft solictations according to level of gifts and the kind of programs/events that people prefer to fund which is helpful in honing the mailing list to reap the most success.
I do better with one-on-one training. The training was also offered at a time that was very busy for me, and I probably didn't give it my 100% attention. I would prefer half-day sessions in a one-on-one or small group setting with "practice" methods in place so I have hands on learning. I am of an older generation (65+), of which this would be helpful, although the online demonstrations were ok.

Yes

The only other experience I have with a database like RE was Banner that was used at a university. It was primarliy used to store student data, so using it for donor information did not always make reporting and mailing requests an easy task. I find that requests for mailing segmentations are much easier done through RE.
