Overall Satisfaction
Greetings,
Blackboard is being used at my campus as a learning resource for students and a "Best Practices" collaborative platform for educators. Blackboard is not only being used at our campus, but it is used throughout the entire district with thousands of courses being implemented for learning by students and professionals. It is an online resource that our students and parent enjoy and appreciate.

- Frame content. It is fairly painless to upload content and then make it live for end-users.
- Is user friendly. it is relatively intuitive and easy to navigate.
- As a online course interface it is very appealing to our students who find the GUI simple and effective in delivering concepts.
- It could be better in the area of delivering animated graphics and video streams.
- Having an integrated instant messaging component would be very helpful.
- It would be great if the screen real estate was more "free form" and not locked into the BB standard frame.
- Increased faculty participation
- Increased parental interest in student's courses and assessments.
- Best practices forums for educators and campus admins
I have also used Moodle which has many of Blackboard's best features; but Blackboard has many modules and "plug and play" components which enhance its utility far beyond what can be done with Moodle. Moodle is far less expensive a platform than Blackboard but "out of the box" Blackboard has much more functionality.
