Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine

We are using the Blackline to implement it to customers as a channel partner. In my implementations, it's used organization-wide and department wise. It replaces the manual processes for financial close and provides automation with the centralization of reports and notifications.
  • Account Reconciliation particularly for the bank to GL ledger.
  • Journal Entries
  • Direct Connectivity to fetch Bank statements.
  • Better Business Informatics i.e. Insights.
  • Time to close reduces by 40%.
  • Less staff required to close, so more staff can be utilized in strategic level work.
Accounting Everywhere: Cheap product with almost all the Blackline essential functionalities.
Oracle ARCS: More preferable for users already has ORACLE as ERP.
  • Well Suited: Large Retail store that has to reconcile the daily sales from POS with Bank accounts and GL balances. Daily sales volume makes it cumbersome and time taking job to combine it using excel.
  • Not so well suited: Small organization with a manageable number of GL ledgers and less than 5000 transactions a month. The cost of Blackline would be more than the benefit.
