Overall Satisfaction with BlueJeans Events

We are using it for school lectures in some classes. We are now in person, but some classes are offering a hybrid approach which allows teachers to have the option to use it or not. We also use it for club meetings/personal meetings between students when working on projects.
  • It is very easy to join and quick to load up.
  • It is very easy to communicate and hear different presenters. Lectures are seamless.
  • It is easy to see who else is on the call and filter through the sidebar.
  • There is no option to have a background filter.
  • Creating meetings is kind of confusing. It took me a while to figure out how to create a meeting and share the link. Also distinguishing between meetings/events.
  • I wish there was a way to mute the audio on BlueJeans Events without having to turn your own computer volume down. That way you could listen to music/another sound while in the event.
  • I wish BlueJeans was more integrated as a communication platform like Teams.
  • Education savings. Without it, school during the pandemic would have been impossible.
  • Increased attendance for club meetings.
  • Increased communication during projects.
After I click on links to join BlueJeans Events, it takes very little time for it to load up with little to no wait. There is also almost never any lag/slow performance when using it. When in meetings, everything runs really smoothly as well especially when sharing screens. It does not slow down other apps either.
I would say that BlueJeans Events is very similar to the three I have used above. I think that Zoom is very similar but what holds BlueJeans back is the ease of use when it comes to creating meetings as well as making sure other non-users can figure out this new software. Microsoft Teams is a little better because they offer an integrated platform for meetings as well as a full workspace to interact with others.

Do you think BlueJeans Events (discontinued) delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with BlueJeans Events (discontinued)'s feature set?

Yes

Did BlueJeans Events (discontinued) live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of BlueJeans Events (discontinued) go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy BlueJeans Events (discontinued) again?

Yes

BlueJeans is very good for larger classroom-type events because it is very easy to manage the call and have people muted during the conversation. I think it is less suited for one-one meetings. I prefer to use other platforms like Zoom for those because creating and sharing links are easier in my opinion.
