Overall Satisfaction with Conductor Searchlight

I work at an SEO company that uses Conductor for a variety of tasks. Writers use it to help with content generation and optimization of individual web pages, and to track the performance of their pages over time. Account managers use it as a point of reference to handle relationships with our clients, pointing out the results our work is having across all the aspects of their business. Managers use it to help determine which accounts need their personal attention, and obviously our SEO team uses it for most aspects of their job.
  • Allowing you to compare the performance of your clients with their biggest competitors across a variety of keyword searches, and giving you common-sense means of improving pages' performance.
  • Customizing the experience to your needs, allowing you to set up custom workspaces and track segments of content that you can adjust for particular clients who have specific requirements.
  • An interface that is intuitive, responsive, and makes it easy to train new employees. Every once in a while someone may have trouble finding one particular function, but I feel like that's more a testament to the number and variety of tools Conductor allows you to have.
  • It's probably inevitable in a program with this much data, but sometimes clients' Conductor pages can take a long time to load.
  • Lime green is not my favorite color for a user interface
  • Beginners may feel overwhelmed by the onslaught of data (eventually they realize how useful it is and stop feeling overwhelmed, though)
  • Allows writers to create content with a more focused SEO strategy.
  • Allows account managers to have a better understanding of what is going on with clients' webpages, and communicating this to the client.
  • Allow SEO teams to review the client's competiton and formulate a strategy for keyword selection and implementation.
The support representatives are helpful, friendly, and knowledgable, and make a clear effort to set up additional events where we can all ask questions as a group--a particularly helpful exercise, as it helped me think of Conductor in ways I hadn't even considered before. I've never had a problem that wasn't resolved within the hour.
Conductor uses Google Analytics to get much of its data, so they're fairly comparable in terms of the information they use. However, I feel like I get a better picture of what my company is personally looking for by using Conductor, because it's designed with companies like mine in mind.
I would absolutely recommend Conductor to any company that wanted to know more about its clients' search presence, and wanted to be able to contextualize that knowledge with a look at the competition. Larger companies with a greater number of clients would probably benefit
more, though I do think there is a place for small businesses to use it as well. One question companies in the middle of selecting Conductor may wish to ask themselves is, "To what degree are we a data-driven company?" If being data-driven in every aspect of their business is important to them, they may wish to consider Conductor.

Yes - Yes. I kept noticing discrepancies between page performance on two different widgets used by the program, so I just clicked on the "help" button and within a few minutes had an answer to the issue that satisfied me. They explained the reason behind the discrepancy and assured me that they would work to fix it as soon as possible.
Two of their customer representative took the time to come down to our company for a general Q&A session, during which they demonstrated some ways we could think about using Conductor to improve customer satisfaction, and then after the event was over they held "breakout sessions" where they talked to us one-on-one in order to deal with any personal issues we were having. The ironic thing is that they did such a great job with the general session that I had no problems for them when my turn came for an individual meeting!
