Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

We use Deputy to organize all our rostering, and availability. It allows all staff to know what shifts they have at all times and stops them from looking at incorrect paper versions of the roster or saying they didn't look at it at all. We also use Deputy for employees to clock on and off and upload this to our accounting software, which significantly decreases the time completing payroll each week.
  • Rostering.
  • All staff communication.
  • Timesheets.
  • Knowing public holidays without having to remember to mark them in.
  • Updating award rates without having to go into each employees.
  • Showing for each employee what Level in the award they are on (eg, casual Level 4).
  • Time saved.
  • Improved accuracy.
  • Less rostering issues (no shows, etc.).

There have been a number of outages which always happen on a Monday which is payday.
We maybe needed to complete more training before implementing as its taken us a long time to learn how to use it correctly and to its full potential.
Xero, Dext Prepare (with Receipt Bank)
For our large bakery business, Deputy is perfect. It allows easy rostering and timesheets. It calculates overtime and award rates well. It integrates with Xero perfectly. Clocking on and off for staff is easy although we still have backup paper timesheets as staff often forget, or internet issues, or need to record messages to the payroll officer.
