Overall Satisfaction with DocuSign

We use DocuSign for the execution of leasing documents. Its used my the majority of our department and helps to expedite the signature process.

Pros

  • DocuSign is very user friendly and makes is simple for the least sophisticated user to navigate.
  • DocuSign allows for instant turnaround of signed documents.
  • DocuSign integrates well with our drafting software.

Cons

  • DocuSign requests for signature are often caught in spam filters and delay the process.
  • Any message entered into DocuSign envelopes are often printed at the bottom of the requests. They oftentimes get missed by the recipient.
  • Would love to see more drag and drop options when tagging a document.
  • We have been able to make quarterly numbers because of quick turnaround time.
  • We have been able to assist less sophisticated signatories in getting documents to us in an expeditious manner.
  • We have really streamlined our document drafting and execution process.
We didn't test any other software. We chose DocuSign because it integrated with our document generating software, Apttus.
We were at the end of a business quarter and were counting on a particular document to come in signed. We used DocuSign to accomplish this and received the document back just in time...11:59pm! If you need to turn around documents quickly, DocuSign is great. If you're dealing with a huge corporation or in our case, a national operator, DocuSign isn't always useful. Because it's not mainstream, many companies don't have internal processes in place to use such a method of signature.
