Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox for Business

We use it to share designs and other documents that Google Drive doesn't work well with. It's an invaluable tool that is a critical piece of our entire organization's workflow. It solves the core business problem of making sure everyone is on the same page when sharing documents, without having to deal with the versioning headaches of email.
  • Rock solid sync
  • Adequate permission management tools
  • Two factor authentication
  • Could have more granular permissions control
  • Security reputation of company is not pristine
  • UI is starting to be a bit dated
  • Using Dropbox instead of email for document sharing has reduced the number of errors caused by out-of-date reference documents
  • Dropbox has made our meetings more valuable, as everyone always has the most up-to-date documents
  • Ideally we'd only need to use one document management solution, but are stuck with a combination of Google Docs and Dropbox due to the need for collaborative editing
The biggest differentiator between Google Drive and Dropbox for our organization has been the ability to have simultaneous personal and business accounts. Most of our users have personal Google Drive accounts, and don't want to remove them in order to use a work one.
It's perfect for small teams. I can imagine it becoming unwieldy with > 20-30 users, as it did at a previous company I worked for. Most non-technical users are familiar with Dropbox, which makes onboarding them much simpler.
