Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have to consult with clients across the country and deliver consultations and trainings remotely. GoToMeeting works well for us to service our clients without the necessity of travel costs and time. We need to deliver rapid, timely support after major organizational crises. GoToMeeting is easy to use, and anyone can access it, regardless of locale. GoToMeeting is reliable generally, unlike some other meeting platforms.

Enables us to conduct large groups effortlessly
Helps us deliver ASAP response in time of crisis
Reliable connectivity

We do need to file-share and could use some more work there.
Some of us are on Android, and this can be a bit janky.
It isn't a widely used platform so I don't have the use of it that often for our groups and clients.

Return on Investment

Saves us bundles on travel and time, where we might have to visit client.
Allows us IMMEDIATE response to crisis since we don't have to jump on a plane.
While it's not a widely used platform, it is wonderful to be able to have it in the set of tools for online meetings. The meeting software is often client driven and its good to be able to offer this.

Alternatives Considered

Google Hangouts and Cisco Webex Events

Google Hangouts is just a little too casual for our professional audience and clients. Cisco Webex Events is a bit too complicated and does not work for our scale. Microsoft teams has a lot of good features. But it is quite janky when you're not using it on a corporate network and frankly. I have to take a breath and prey before each meeting. I think meeting software is a corporately personal decision, and it is necessary to research and evaluate the solution that delivers best for your org's needs.

GoToMeeting is best when face-to-face interaction with groups is important. Maybe not well suited if you are sharing docs. Works well in corporate environments documents. GoToMeeting works better if there is one presenter, switching presenters is sometimes complex. Unlike some other software, everyone can access GoToMeeting. It is standard and generally very reliable. GoToMeeting has good A/V quality, which is essential for our sensitive communications in realm of HR.
