Overall Satisfaction with Hotjar

We rely on Hotjar for running quick surveys, having unmoderated usability sessions and checking the heatmaps and recordings. We also use the widget to get direct feedback from the users. The primary user is the Product team and Product Marketing as well, while the results are usually shared with the wider organization on any significant area of reserarch or feedback.
  • Easy to read results and filter information as needed
  • Very reliable source for feedback, less signal to noise ratio
  • insifhtful for capturing user sessions and traffic coverage
  • Become more integlligent at categorizing the feedback received
  • Help create reports that can be shared across teams
  • Add functionality to group and keep track of similar feedback
  • Feedback widget
  • Heatmaps and recordings
  • Running surveys and analyzing results
  • It has shortened time required to conduct meaningful surveys
  • Feedback received is directly usable in product planning process
  • Helps identify any customer pain points much earlier

Do you think Hotjar delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Hotjar's feature set?

Yes

Did Hotjar live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Hotjar go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Hotjar again?

Yes

Hotjar is well suited for Product teams looking to gather additional insights on the user behavior, or run quick surveys or usabulity sessions. The data capture is not as extensive as Heap or other software, so the strengths are actually different although at surface it might appear as similar functionalities.
