Overall Satisfaction with HubSpot

We are using Hubspot for email marketing, blogging and social. I'm the primary user for landing pages, forms and email marketing. We have support teams using it for customer communications and we have two other people in the marketing department using it for blogs and social. The business problem is solves for us is having one point for all of our marketing efforts to be measured and reported through. So, we can see which traffic lead to which leads and ultimately which turned into customers.
  • Helpful resources. Hubspot has a wealth of training materials, documentation and excellent support. I was thrown into managing the digital marketing efforts and Hubspot really had great tools for me to quickly get up to speed on how to best organize, tackle, and measure the results of that work.
  • All-in-one platform is integrated well. I can jump into creating a follow up email while I'm creating a landing page so that the process can be more creative and stream of consciousness flow.
  • The salesforce integration is great. I can choose what I sync over and the hubspot insights that show up in salesforce are helpful to the sales guys.
  • Forms are really advanced and customizable. There are smart questions that you can use for progressive profiling.
  • Uptime - this hasn't resulted in any major problems for our business, but definitely some frustration internally if we lost work on a page or blog. And recently there was a big down time which resulted in a lot of delays in reporting which I needed for a board meeting. They were able to resolve the issue before, but it caused a 3 day delay in my report.
  • Reporting is a little confusing
  • Organization, for example the list of contacts, if I organize them into folders, they still all show up in the list
  • Closer eye on SEO with the keyword tracker which is helping us stay focused on our keywords in our content and ultimately getting higher organic traffic
  • Streamlined our lead flow for referral programs
  • Smart content has allowed us to try different things for different regions leading to a boost in regional penetration
  • IBM Silverpop Engage
We moved away from Silverpop because it was much easier to use HubSpot and see how our emails were turning into leads. The forms and landing pages didn't depend on a developer to create. It was overall a much more comprehensive solution so that we could manage social, our blog, email, and website stats all in one integrated platform.
If you are a very small business it may be a bit powerful, but if you really want to scale and grow, it's a great tool to invest in. Just also make sure you are investing in great content, because without that it is useless investing in the vehicle that will get that content out.
