Overall Satisfaction with HubSpot CRM

We have started using HubSpot CRM with one of 6 different business units and right now we are using it within 4 of the 6. Some of the business units had never used a CRM and some other were using Vtiger - an open source CRM. The users are happy with the change because HubSpot is very intuitive to use and being on the cloud and having an iOS app helps them access it in a fast way wherever they are.
Right now we are just facing some minor issues:
1.- We are a complex organization with 6 different business units so it would be great if each contact could have several owners and not just one.
2.- Vtiger offered a large and powerful support embedded component and HubSpot does not have anything like it.
  • Ease of use -- The program is pretty intuitive and it is simple to know how to use it - even as an admin.
  • Calls -- It is pretty simple to associate someone with the acticvity you are performing. So if you need your boss or your inside sales to know how the visit went you simply place @and their name and they receive an email with your note.
  • Dashboards - Dashboards include all the really important information on quota and activities.
  • More than one owner per contact -- We are a complex company and certain contacts are an important part of different business units. We need to have multiple owners for one contact.
  • Company association -- When you create a contact, the company field does not autopopulate with the existing companies so you end up writing a company and then HubSpot automatically creates that company and you end up having two equal companies -- the one already created and the one that you put as company name in the contact details.
  • Comments on associations -- when you create a deal and associate it with a company, automatically the timeline of that deal fills out with all the comments in all the deals associated with that company. That is pretty confusing since a lot of those activities and comments don't have anything to do with your deal.
  • Since we are kind of new with the CRM and our sales cycles are complex and long we have not had the necessary time to calculate ROI of using this CRM.
  • More control on the sales pipeline and on the impact marketing has on sales.
The ease of use and the possibility of it being in the cloud. Vtiger is a great CRM but you need to have someone who knows how to implement it and how to program it whenever you need a new feature. The problem with this is that you constantly need to upgrade to the next version and then all your customization and personalization might stop working with Vtiger.
It is a great first step or introduction into working with a CRM. It probably works perfectly in simple B2C and B2B companies no matter the size.
