Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cognos Analytics
We used IBM Cognos Analytics as our reporting solution for our application through API.
- Ongoing release and upgrades
- Customer support
- scalable solutions
- Easily reach out of support from helpdesk
- Too expensive
- Too much additional paid services like performance tuning, API, etc...
- Limited governors control on multi-tenant
- regular support do not cover API support
- easy upgrade between different IBM Cognos versions
None, we only use Report Studio from API
We are planning to introduce business user self-service for future release.
IBM Cognos allows governors at system level, model/package level and report level security controls, but it is lacking control by tenants. e.g. many system level governors like high/low affinity processes or max processes cannot have different settings per tenant.
