Power Systems Virtual Server on IBM Cloud for IBMi
Overall Satisfaction with IBM Power System Virtual Server
My environment is comprised of Enterprise applications and databases, with the majority of them running on IBM Power Server only. In the majority of cases, it aids in the resolution of issues with the least amount of downtime, and we receive few performance calls that can be resolved in a matter of minutes due to its capabilities, which allow for changes to be made quickly and with the least amount of downtime.

- Dynamic Scalability according to Profile, Robust and Simple to Manage
As I usually say, if you are looking for a solid environment, I always advocate going with IBM Power Server because, so far, it has shown to be successful for my company. Always keep usage under control; in certain circumstances, such as during peak hours, you may see a slight increase, but there is no need to be concerned since if the need arises, you can quickly add resources on the fly.
It is possible to avoid vulnerabilities when commissioning a new server in the environment by keeping a few things in mind and carrying them out. For example, make sure to upgrade the firmware level of the machine along with adapter microcode level upgrade, and if a new part is installed, make sure to update it to the latest level, and make sure to upgrade the adapter microcode level. You will notice an improvement in performance.
IBM servers are managed through the Hardware Management Console, also known as IVM or Power VC, which means that we already have a single platform where we can connect for server management as well as to perform the other changes that we used to perform in BAU-related activities. However, there are some other options that we can consider as well.
