Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF
When we print any production drawings, they need to have a "Master Copy" watermark added. Our Engineers use Kofax to batch plot and add that watermark. It saves lots of time. We also use Kofax to create fillable PDFs for HR and other forms. I have also used Kofax to turn a PDF into a Word document.
- Batch Print.
- Fillable Forms.
- Add/remove pages to PDFs.
- Format editing. I wish I could "explode" grouped objects like boxes to move or edit each individually.
- Font Library. More than once, I have tried to edit text and get a message that the font is not available; why? I have it installed on Windows.
- Had a hard time editing Tab Order. Needed to google (red flag - not intuitive) to find the Tab Order tab under Page Properties to pick "Unspecified" before the "set Tab Order" text wasn't greyed out when right-clicking an object.
- Huge time saving when we publish print packs for our production floor.
- For a small price tag, we can edit/manage all the PDFs in our workflow.
- Simply being able to remove pages from, or add pages to, a PDF is a game changer.
Big picture, I think Kofax achieved that design intent. As a self-taught user, I am able to do most tasks without help/searching. All the other PDF software I tried was either too expensive or too difficult to use. That doesn't mean Kofax is perfect. I have struggled to do things that I thought should have been done simply more than once.
It was too expensive for the number of seats I needed. We considered getting one Adobe license but decided to keep everyone on the same platform. This allowed us to all have the same tools for our workflow instructions. We are very glad we made the decision to use Kofax.

Adding and removing pages to PDFs. Adding fillable fields to forms. Watermarking PDFs at the time of printing. Batch printing PDFs. Editing text on a PDF without having to go back to the original Word document. Rotating pages within a PDF to match content orientation. Setting the tab order when creating fillable forms.
