Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
We only use Power PDF for all of our pdf needs, including creation, editing and converting. It has a high degree of compatibility and is easy to use. I have also purchased it to be used at two other churches I served. It is very helpful in creating content that needs to be professionally print formatted and also minimized for website use. It is installed on several laptops and our main content creation desktop. I was relieved to find that it is being continued under Kofax.
- When creating our newsletter, we can easily import pictures, calendars, and other items.
- Power PDF lets me edit existing documents.
- I can distribute pdf documents to others and they can always read them in the free pdf readers from Kofax, Adobe and other programs.
- I can limit the usage of certain documents to read only, print capable or inaccessible.
- I have been using this product for 12 years on several computers, but I'm constantly being left behind by new versions, and it seems like there are no new updates.
- The Advance version has morphed into something that seems aimed at very large organizations. If so, then please incorporated all of the editing features in the Standard version, as we don't need all of the sharing and docusigning, etc.
- We are a non-profit, so no impact to standard financial measurements, except for the cost factor.
- In the past, it has saved us several hundreds of dollars in software costs.
- It has allowed staff to be more productive.
Power PDF is easy to use, for the most part, but the editing features are becoming more robust and therefore more complicated to use. I am resisting moving from the Nuance versions to the new Kofax versions at the present time due to the high cost of upgrading.

The ability to read and edit any pdf document from any source has been very valuable to us. Our office manager uses it to create documents, forms, reports, etc. I use it for website posts, dissemination of workshop materials, reports, publishing articles, etc.
