Overall Satisfaction with Kronos Workforce Ready

The implementation team is amazing. From the salesperson who was ultimately there to push things along for us as needed to the head of the team, everyone was easy to work with. We already have rave reviews for the KRONOS support team since we use Workforce Central. The patience of the implementation team to work with us even though we had significant delays in implementation due to lack of personnel resources for our implementation was commendable.
It is being used across the whole organization. Primarily, Workforce Ready is being used by Human Resources to facilitate electronic personnel records. It is also being used by all departments to track performance evaluations and employee disciplines. It is being used by Employee Health to monitor pre-employment healthcare requirements such as a 2 step PPD (tuberculosis test), employee physical and pre-employment drug screen. It interfaces with Timekeeper Central and integrates with our external payroll software to avoid duplicate data entries for the payroll department. It keeps track of changing demographic data needed by supervisors in all departments.
  • Layered security is a huge benefit - it ensures that only staff who need access to certain parts of an employee file have that access.
  • Employee access is another large benefit to Workforce Ready - from potential employees being able to submit their applications online to current staff being able to make changes to their demongraphic data.
  • Workforce Ready is laid out in a very user-friendly format which makes it easy to train staff.
  • The initial implementation is difficult for the HR professional to configure to provide information to the implementation team. I think this is in part because the software is so customizable to each individual company.
  • The integrations with external payroll systems would be nice to be built in to avoid costly interfaces.
  • It would be nice if there was a best-practice layout that could later be customized as you start to work with and use Workforce Ready.
  • Productivity has already been improved for me as a one-person HR department.
  • Communication between departments has been improved and errors have been reduced.
  • Tracking of applicants has become infinitely more efficient and professional.
Workforce Ready was much more user-friendly, easier to navigate and use, and had the ability to track information better. There were also infinite multiple levels of security that were available under Workforce Ready. Workforce Ready was much more customizable than the other programs that I evaluated. I am very pleased with our decision to purchase Workforce Ready.

Product usability was most important. Communication between departments was paramount for us. We track too much information manually for every staff member and all of this data was being tracked in HR. So this data had to be sent to department heads monthly or otherwise as needed and there were often errors made due to lack of information.
This is very well suited to healthcare which needs to have meticulous HR records and often is manned by a one-person HR department. It may not be suited for someone with a small company with few users who have little need for ancillary records in personnel files such as certifications, licenses, and other requirements.
