Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
We use litmus to test HTML email designs on different clients to ensure they render correctly across our most delivered-to-email clients. We also leverage litmus for tracking pixels to determine read, skim, and delete rates of our emails in inboxes. The pixels also gather data on which email clients use to view our emails.
- Display emails on other clients.
- Easy to use tracking pixels.
- Store email templates and snippets.
- Tracking sometimes seems inaccurate.
- Aggregate tracking over a campaign could be improved.
- Less mistakes and rendering issues are deploying in emails.
- Greater understandings of our email lists through tracking pixel data.
Having Litmus integrated into our preview and tests in the marketing cloud has been great for spot-checking before test sends are sent out to business partners and when the live email is deployed. However, I still go to the Litmus site to do a full check before sending the live email. I prefer the display on the website.
We can determine where contacts are viewing our emails. For example, when designing emails, we can tell if they are most mobile or desktop opens and then make designs better suited for one or the other. Also, we can tell if a list is more receptive to a copy-heavy email based on the read, skim, and delete rates.
We store our email templates and code snippets on Litmus. This allows us to easily copy and paste them when creating email designs and keeps them all in one place. We generally don't use Litmus for the proof feature, as our business partners don't have access.
